"It would be unwise to press for an exemption, and it would be even more unwise on the part of the Security Council to grant it. It would discredit the council and the United Nations that stands for the rule of law."

Rule of law? What law? Who's law? Hey Kofi, you and your band of thugs at the UN have no authority over us and neither do your good buddies in the other international "groups" who are working overtime to undermine our sovereignty.

We are already over a barrel with the U.N. They want us to leave so they can vote in a world wide tax on international travel and wire transfers of money. That way they are completely out from under our veto power. Free to grow their power and satisfy their ambitions of world domination.

We are in a Catch 22. The only way to defeat the U.N. is to outlaw it and declare all member nations an enemy of the USofA subject to trade sanctions including the inability to ship their products to the US.

How about....... NO! Leave now, or be destroyed.

(PS - Does anyone know what that remotely sounds like? I think I heard it once somewhere, in the movies, or TV? Tons of thanks if anyone knows if it exists as a quote).

What tinpot little dictator! He's been in his "job" for too long. Why can't the US call for a vote of no-confidence against the Secretary-General?

U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan on Thursday urged the Security Council to oppose renewal of a resolution that would shield U.S. troops serving in U.N.-approved peacekeeping missions from prosecution before the International Criminal Court, saying the "exemption is wrong.

Easy solution: no "U.S. troops serving in U.N.-approved peacekeeping missions." Our troops are kinda busy anyway. They have real jobs.

Good question. Don't know -- mine is the 1988 edition, and ''effing'' doesn't appear.
