The people living in these countries are sheep. The masses are uneducated, except by militant Islamists, because their governments want the rank-and-file to be sheep--sheep that hate America more than they hate their own governments, of course. The result is governments there are NOT answerable to their own people. I can't name one Islamic state that is a democracy or remotely like it. They're all kleptocracies or monarchies.

The problem is that the American left will ONLY point fingers. The American right has generally allied itself with these governments. They've colluded well to ensure jack $#!# is gonna happen. Congress will ensure we continue to nickel-and-dime occupation of Iraq, which will probably succumb to Islamist terrorism and fall into regional fiefdoms eventually. Dictatorships in the Mideast which control oil there will continue, because oil money is too important to Congress and the Presidency. And the people in those countries will continue to hate us.

Maybe Iraq will work. I'll cross my fingers. But I doubt it. After 9/11, I'd rather we started with a clean slate in the Mideast, myself.

Anyone who read the e-mails Nick Berg wrote, will recall that whilst he was in prison in Iraq, he described his fellow detainees as 'poor fellows' who could not speak the Iraqi language. He felt sorry for them because there were no interpreters! They came from all over the ME to kill US soldiers. They came in thousands. The Australian, David Hicks, fought in Kosovo with the KLA before he was picked up in Afghanistan. David wrote letters to his parents about the glory of islam...obviously islam appeals to every psychopath on the planet. Islam allows ( rewards in heaven?) all that civilized society considers criminal.

What is going on here? An imam can read from the same book during his Friday sermons and it's the word of allah...but if a christian minister does the same, it's a hate crime? Please take the time to study this case. It is very revealing...and probably coming to a little town in the US very soon.

Reading the koran without knowing anything about the life of the 'prophet' and how and when (and why) the 'verses' were 'revealed' is not enough to understand islam. Download the biography. See my tagline.

And don't forget, there are supposedly some 62 volumes of hadith. The sayings of the 'prophet' as reported by his relatives and followers. (The Companions.) Everything the 'prophet' did in his lifetime, a 'good muslim' is expected to emulate. How he washed, how he ate, how he urinated...and killed. No kidding.
Why do you think a muslim has to consult an imam for almost everything? I read one site where a mulsim woman wrote to an imam on the Net...asking him if it was 'haram' to do the washing for a male relative on a Thursday!
His reply? I'll let you guess. It was several pages long.
The poor woman. Couldn't do a relative a good deed without asking the imam first. Their brains are scrambled.

Thanks for posting that photograph. Hitler and the Mufti of Jerusalem were buddies. Muslim death squads were more than willing volunteers during WW2. Killing Jews was the obsession they had in common.
