When my husband and I were dating, he took me shooting with his mother. I was 26, deathly afraid of guns (for no reason, just media) and nervous, but after he talked me through it and I was able to fire, it was a blast! It became an almost regular saturday afternoon activity for us.

I also like the fact that I know I have the ability and knowledge to protect my home, just in case.

After 9/11, even my wife who was not pro gun - kind of middle of the road, wanted me to take her to the gun club and learn proper weapon safety, use, & care. She now goes to club fairly regularly and is now getting her first pistol. H&K Compact SS 40SW, I am and H&K collector of sorts, so she received a little push from me
:-) on her choice. She's currently capable of - 35' 8 rounds in 10 seconds and all in the black very consistently. It is a great date to go to the range shooting!
