I'm an alum from a collegiate Rifle Team. 8-)
One of the kids on the current team is an alternate for the Olympic team. (not bad for a 20 year old kid...)

I've been feeling the irresistable pull of the gun range lately...

So is my husband. He loved it, as an undergrad he was on the team and as a grad student at the same university he was the advisor. Now he does the CMP matches every year with his buddies.

And while some worry about recreational gun safety, the government says...Those "some" aren't shooters anyway, so they should just butt the hell out. Call me militantly pro-choice in this area.

Me, too!
I might even shoot this shoulder killer again!
I hope to be off again before July 10th so we can get together with the Second Amendment Sisters.

"What's all this talk I hear about 'shooting sports'? Shouldn't people be able to have sports without someone else coming along and shooting them? Why, it's just like those people that were trying to get sax and violins off of TV ... what, are we going to start shooting musicians next? No. I say, let people have their sports, and not have to worry about someone shooting them." I'm just tired of hearing about the Presidential Erections!

But the targets do last longer if you do put them all through the center hole...Not if you're shooting a .45 ;0)

We all have non-shooting friends. Often, even our shooting friends have spouses who are non-shooters. The very best thing you can do to give the next generation our freedoms is to take a non-shooter shooting. Do it SAFELY, with proper ear and eye protection. Next, make sure they have a firearm of low recoil. Give a proper class (if you're not an instructor yourself, get a certified instructor) and watch the wonder and joy spread across their delighted faces!
