IN ONE of the smartest decisions of her life, Monica Lewinsky fled New York City on Wednesday night, hours after Bill Clinton confessed he trysted with her simply "because I could".
The former White House intern is said to be mortified and upset by Clinton's cold description of their affair.
The platoon of paparazzi outside her downtown apartment didn't help her mood.
Ironically, Lewinsky is expected to attend a wedding in Arkansas on Tuesday, the day Bill Clinton launches his mega-hyped White House memoir, My Life, in Manhattan.
Set to become the political bestseller of the year, the former President's book is expected to outsell wife Hillary's autobiography, Living History, which racked up sales of 600,000 copies in its first week last year. Slick Willie, nevertheless, isn't taking anything for granted. In order to justify his $12 million advance, Mr Clinton needs to sell at least 2m copies of the hardcover book.
In advance leaks from an interview to be broadcast on CBS tonight, Clinton gives the press the tantalising soundbites they want while at the same time giving the public their first glimpse at his deep sense of self-reproach over the Lewinsky affair. Both tactics are necessary to sell his $35 book.
In leaks made public on Friday, Clinton describes how the First Lady looked like she had been punched in the gut the morning he told her about his liaison with Lewinsky and how he spent the following two months sleeping on the couch. Mr Clinton reportedly also writes that he attributes problems during his upbringing as contributing to a self-destructive streak that tends to act up when he's tired, angry or feeling alone.
On Friday, the promotional juggernaut lost some of the sizzle it had built up during the week when AOL online released the first audio excerpt from the memories.
Those who tuned in expecting deep dish were treated to a folksy anecdote from Clinton about the "amazing moment" he shook President John F Kennedy's hand in 1963. "I'm sure he was aware that everyone would be looking for the racy bits, and he wants to come out of the gate first as a statesman-like figure," said Stan Baker, editor of Publisher's Weekly. Further AOL extracts, such as tomorrow's, entitled "Marriage remains", may draw higher ratings.

I actually read her insipid "Monica's Story." She tried to act like it was some great love affair, even though it was clear to anybody except her and her ghostwriter that it wasn't. She also held back a lot on saying negative things about Clinton, because I think she was so delusional that she thought she'd get to see him after he got out of office. Now she's over 30, has no boyfriend, is as fat as a house, still owes tons of money in legal fees, and her handbag business has apparently gone under. And her protection of Clinton has gone unnoticed and unrewarded.

I have always felt just a little bit sorry for Monica. I know she's trashy, but I think she was definitely taken advantage of. I bet this new statement in the book is the first real inking she had of how little he thought of her.
Dollars to donuts she blamed Linda Tripp and Kenneth Starr for ending their relationship.
At first I thought the "sleep on the couch" thing was both trite and ridiculous.
But then I thought, maybe Hillary did leash him out there on the couch so he could phone up wimmen and have phone sex with them, and
couldn't sneak out in a limo for a couple of ... hours.
By the looks of her, she probably enjoys breathing too much!

You know what it seems everyone forgot----First, Monica told her friends that she was going to Washington to earn her "kneepads."
Second, her mother seemed happy that her daughter was "servicing" the president.
And, third, Monica's father was not angry at the president for having used his daughter like that. I'd like to know if there are any father's out there who would not have gone after a 50-ish year old man who treated their 21 year old daughter like that??
I'd like to smack her parents around first, for raising such a $cr*wed up girl.
Somebody should try to count the number of "I"s and "me"s in the book. It should be a record that will stand for all time.
My own mom raised me to learn very clearly -- you don't date (DATE!) men you work with; especially your own boss. Period. I bet Monica got no such advice.
Obviously, she was having a hard time adding up facts; instead choosing the delusional "his words to me" "his eyes when he looked at me" type stuff. Young love experiences is tough. For everyone. However, Monica put herself at great risk through her choice in a "lover". And "her" lover continues to stab at her, oh so painfully.

THE most damage done to MONICA was when CLINTON publically had her labeled as a STALKER to divert attention away from his own worst misbehaviors during his Impeachment Saga.
THE most important question that just begs for an answer here is:
WHO is THE Origin of MONICA being labeled a STALKER..?
The STALKER Accusation first came from MONICA's own High-School Teacher/Lover, who she later followed to Portland OR for more ...after her Graduation.
This Teacher's brother was/is the Public Relations Manager for Rev. Dr. ROBERT SCHULLER's Chrystal Cathedral in Garden Grove CA.
Suddenly Rev.Dr. ROBERT SCHULLER's own personal Attorney, for the Chrystal Cathedral SCHULLER's Flight Attendant Assault Case, shows up as MONICA's former teacher's Attorney and mouthpiece.
...This as Rev. Dr. ROBERT SCHULLER was BILL & HILLARY CLINTON's personal "Spiritual" Advisor during their 2nd Term in the White House. It was during this time that HILLARY publically came out saying that her husband BILL was MONICA's "Spiritual" Advisor.
...In her own book MONICA herself shared with us her pain at being publically labeled a STALKER, ...wondering WHO would do such a thing to her and why..?

She still thought he cared about her(up until now). That's just sad. Linda Tripp probably saved her life, since it seems Bill's interns victims tend to be accident prone, or end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Maybe someday she'll figure out that Linda was her friend.
In the mean time, the ever-selfish Mr. Bill trashes her yet again, in a pathetic attempt to avoid responsibility for his actions, and showing the world that he has no class, no class whatsoever.
The older Monica gets, the more she is going to realize the truth about Clinton, and that her reputation is ruined for life, because of him ,(unless she changes her name, has plastic surgery and moves out of the country for several years).
She is paying an extremely high price for her youthful indiscretions. Very sad. I don't think she is ever going to be very happy, or that her life will have a positive ending.

I imagine Monica is too afraid to write a tell all book. She has after all seen the Clintons up close.
Plastic surgery may disguise her face but it will not erase her own memory. She was used by a powerful ingrate (and possible rapist). Only the truth will set her free.....
Maybe she can comfort herself by sucking the semen out of her blue dress, while looking at an autographed copy of his book cover.
