Kinda Sad For Him!

He could have been a computer programmer
instead of being programmed by an Islamic Cleric.

Anyway as seen on TV, a mind in a terrible thing to waste,
and this guy's mind was sure wasted.

Yeah, in there tight, and lightning quik, and the soldier or soldiers should have been treated to beer by the rest of the squad.

It appears that the first burst comes from in front of the Islamicorpse and hits him once dead center low in the torso breaking his back. He falls back on his hands and the second burst comes from his left front with a hit to the chest, neck, head and then arm in that order.

Nice fire control.

Its got to make the Squad Leader Proud. There's some serious training behind that type of shooting.

Double Tap, that's what it was, a Double Tap, at burst mode.

Well, first, I would assume it means two pulls of the M-16A2 on three round burst mode.

Second, very nice shot by the SAW team. I also suspect a sniper from the RPG man's left rear. He gets tapped from two directions just before he sets down. Does anyone concur?

If I'm right, that's some very professional cooperation between the platoon leader and his NCO and the Scout Sniper team.

Well done, Marines!

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Maybe we can get the French to edit the video and claim the guy was just a farmer ...

Double Tap - aka The Hammer.

Firing two shots in very quick succession. When doing a double tap the shooter does not line up (sight alignment or sight picture) the second shot. They line up once, and then pull the trigger twice.

For most shooters (with some training) double taps can be practical and accurate at short distances. In sport shooting this can be a very valuable technique for saving time by clearing close targets very quickly.

Near as I can tell, a Spanish TV crew. There's a translation of what the reporter is saying somewhere here on another thread.

I wonder what the range was? If it was fired from an M-4 I'm really impressed.
