In the end it doesn't matter.

He has not been tried yet. The Impeachment trial is political, not criminal.

He wasn't criminally tried. The trial was just to remove him from office in order to protect the Union. Fortunately, it fell short, if not, Al Gore would be our president.

This is no surprise. But there's nothing that can be done now. The trial is over. He's out of office.

he's already been impeached, disbarred and legacy left for the ash heap of American history. Since the Jones case was settled there's no outstanding liability there, either. HOWEVER - the discrepancy in the dates is significant with respect to the Clintonista's historic defense of Clinton's obstructing justice because of the degree to which these episodes occurred in the discovery process and eliminates any contributions of the VRWC in his thoroughly undermining his own defense case (take that Lanny "Lacky" Davis!)

Who cares? Lie upon lie upon lie. He simply cannot tell the truth. I think Hillery figured that out about 20 years ago, and simply said ok...and thought she would get a step up in politics due to Bill sooner or later. Bill is a pure lier...he can't even remember the truth. By the time he turns 70...there won't be a talk-show host who can bring Bill on the air...because everything said will be bogus.

btw--the "$35.00" book is selling for $18.87 at Sam's Club, and $18.90 at WalMart. Great big displays at the front of the stores.

Seems there is a bigger scandal brewing and it involves Rather's staff.

Initially they denied that X42 used the term BULL regarding beging offered OBL by Sudan.

It now appears that X42 did indeed use the word BULL.....

We expect Rather to lie and protect slick willie but then they go ahead and release the exact comments by slick willie and VOILA......there is the the exact word.......BULL.

Actually, there is NO statute of limitations for a perjury prosecution. Clinton can still be prosecuted for this. Remember Alger Hess???

Actually, if the statute of limitations has not run out, he could be indicted for perjury. The Senate trial was political in nature and has no bearing on any subsequent criminal case. I don't know what the statute of limitations is on perjury. Anyone?

I am listening to Mark also. While I was listening I thought I would check out Ebay to see if anyone was selling autograph copies. Needless to say I wasn't disappointed.

The impeachment trial is over, true. But he's still criminally liable for any perjury he might have committed during the impeachment.

He won't be tried for it, but it will certainly cement (as if he needed it) his legacy.

I guess I didn't phrase that very well, I didn't mean criminally "tried". What I meant was there are no charges that can be brought against him for that now are there? Does that make more sense? Geez...I just need some more coffee or some pain meds or something.

recall - upon Clinton's leaving office - the OIC entered into a settlement agreement with him, however, in which Clinton was disbarred from practicing law for 5 years, permanently disbarred from appearing before the Supreme Court, and paid nearly $1 million to settle the Jones case in exchange for the OIC agreeing not to prosecute him.

Give it up. There are so many individuals surrounding BJ who want to service that you can't touch him. Please move on. WE ARE AT WAR.

Ken Starr had his chance.
