Hi, phenn -- yeah, it defies all logic how such obvious discrepancies are ignored by Greer et al. I know it makes my head hurt at this distance; how much more for those of you who live there and see this unfolding on your doorstep? How frustrating it must be to be in court to witness this crap, as some here have been.

Anyway, you are all in my thoughts and prayers, that you may have wisdom and discernment and everything that you need to return Terri to her parents where she belongs. May God also work in the hearts and minds of any who are working against Terri and her parents -- that has been a fervent ongoing prayer.

I'll tell you what I find the most frustrating. It's that the public is buying this nonsense hook, line and sinker.

I went to one of Mr. Felos's right-to-die seminars last year. August, I think. Certainly before he knew who I was. In any event, I cannot explain how sickening it is to hear someone trying to coo and seduce others into signing away their right to life. I eventually got up and left because I couldn't take it anymore.

Do any of these people believe for a moment that a lawyer is discussing all of this out of the goodness of his/her heart? Can they not see through the facade?

You know what it reminded me of - those MLM seminars a friend suckers you into attending. Carefully placed words and body language can make anything sound like a good idea to the masses. Well, the masses are wrong for accepting this line of thinking.

What we will end up with, if we don't start paying attention, is a medical community that has absolutely no obligation to treat you anymore. We will have a system in which vulnerable people can be absolutely flogged by greedy family members or lawyers. We're half-way there already in Florida.

There was a segment on 60 minutes last night about life support. Yes, some of the patients they were discussing were actively dying and aggressive treatment was probably only causing pain. But not every person who receives life-prolonging treatment is in that boat and not recognizing that is disastrous. I know this from personal experience. It was very creepy to hear some of these doctors relate how they felt that 'letting go' was doing the patient a favor. Beyond creepy, actually.

They had a tiny snip of Terri on the program. How did they describe her? (Everyone say it with me, now) As a "woman in a coma".

That makes the thought of killing her less of a pill to swallow to the masses. It's not so bad, then.

But, you try talking about these things to some Joe on the street and he'll think you're out of your bloody mind. They assume they are better dead than fed and it's because of this right-to-die movement and their sales techniques. These people own the media, in my opinion. They are consumate marketeers.

That is not by accident. George Soros and Robert Woods Johnson, two MASSIVE grant issuing institutions have dedicated tens of millions of dollars to these very ends. Now, instead of some families fighting to keep treatment away from an actively dying patient who is suffering, families have to fight to keep an otherwise healthy person fed.

It's called lowering the bar. It frees up beds, loosens up bank accounts, frees up some organs and dehumanizes each and every one of us in the process. But, hey, it's your 'right', babe.

You have to see it with your own eyes to believe it. But will he masses open their eyes to it? I just don't know anymore.
