We're headed into another big fight this year. Here in Michigan all kinds of problems were exposed on caucus night. Moving polling places, polling places that never opened etc.
As far as I know nothing has been done to correct the problems. Personally I think the democratic party has a vested interest in keeping this mess just the way it is. If the election is anywhere near close in Mi. i fully expect it to go to court.

"Then extrapolate that this is surely going on in every major city in America."
This indeed is a HUGE PROBLEM.

Looks like it to me. A true party hack who will break any law necessary to keep Rats in office. People like her both infuriate me, and frankly, frighten me more than some propagandist like Moore or Franken or screwy politicians like Kerry. We've had many of them and survived them all. But our system only works if it remains open and honest. Once corruption reaches a certain level, it will collapse into anarchy followed by dictatorship.
People who would cheat and pervert the election process are the lowest form of scum possible. They are the deadly enemy to people on both sides of the political divide who believe in representative government, and should be treated as such regardless of party affiliation.
The right to vote is sacred. Anyone who cheats at the process denies other their rightful say. IMHO, that is the ultimate societal sin.

Yes, Wisconsin has had it this way for quite some time. I think they started it back in the 70's, but don't quote me. There's a registration table at the polling place. You stop there, show them some ID, including a utility bill & they register you on the spot.
When I first heard other states debating motor voter it baffled me. When you've registered at your new polling place after you've moved for decades, "easing" registration by allowing registration when applying for a driver license sounded strange & not exactly easier than I was used to doing. lol

I have to agree with everything you said. They are the enemies of democracy.

Thanks for that. It really fleshes out the story. Whole lot of chicanery going on there.
