*chuckle*
Well, when he was President and took office the part about being born under a storm was true!
He was battling the storm and had to allude to it.
But, after being President he was born under a clear sky showing that after him all was well.
/ puke.

I must now go use the amnesia ray, I think I'm starting to understand Bubba's 'thinking' a little too well.

When he was president, I felt like I lived through the biggest storm of my life...Hurricane Hillary and Typhoon Bill.
Lot's of hot wind and hell (or hail as we pronounce it out here in the sticks) and plenty of clean up afterwords!

Nixon's book started out saying:

I was born in the house my Father built....

Looks like Clinton had to rip off Nixon. Sheesh.

On a happier note, BJs book is out here in Germany. You all will love this:

The German title of his book is:

Mein Leben

That has raised a few comparisons, if you know what I mean.

Has a web site been created to document the out right lies and contradictions in Slick's book that you know of?

I especially like the CNN catch:

CNN) -- In his new memoir, former U.S. President Bill Clinton says his "inappropriate" encounters with Monica Lewinsky began when she claimed they did, during the government shutdown in November 1995.

That account contradicts his August 1998 testimony before a federal grand jury that investigated the case.

After you're done reading it, you'll soon be washing your hands, applying alcohol and getting a refund, right?

I was born in a summer storm

Significant from a New Age and literary perspective.

The new age x-files readers will take that to mean he acquired some unnatural energy from that storm that supported him through his life.

For his other followers, they'll interpret that to mean he is the bringer of light, the chosen one.

"Under sunny skies, the rain began to pour. I estimated the temperature was a sweltering-hot 15-below-zero. The rains came so hard, that our county immediately declared a drought. I wandered outside and marvelled at the completely black sun-lit sky, while noticing the cats flying up the the branches of the hog-grass tree." -- Bill Clinton, pp 3-4.

I was born under a clear sky after a violent summer storm to a widowed mother in the Julia Chester Hospital in Hope, a town of about six thousand in southwest Arkansas, thirty-three miles east of the Texas border - Dear Lord, thank you for not letting him be born a Texan.

see this yesterday doug? To: princess leah “Actually, more like when a tomcat grimaces and sucks in the air around him to savor the scent of a female cat. It’s called flehmening when a housecat or a lion does it.” - Queen McGee
The first time I really looked at Clinton was in a Sunday supplement magazine in the Los Angeles Times. The article featured pictures of Bill, Hill and Chelsea in the 'backyard' of the governor's mansion 'playing' baseball. There was just something about Bill Clinton's smile and body language. I recognized 'The Look'. It is the look of a malignant narcissist. When he smiles he lifts his upper lip slightly, as if to suck in the attention of the viewer. Certain male animals like housecats and deer do this posturing when seeking mates. It's called 'flehmening'. The breath of life to a narcissist is the attention and admiration of those around him. The more attention a narcissist receives the more turned on and alive he becomes. Without attention he reverts to a passive, hollow shell, just waiting... until he can receive next narcissist fix.
I can recognize a narcissist immediately because I am an adult daughter of a malignant narcissist mother. Like a practicing alcoholic or a drug addict a narcissist can never be trusted to put his needs above his own needs, and never ever expect him to tell the truth unless he feels it would benefit himself. Several years ago Bill Clinton was featured on the cover of Esquire magazine. He had a 'flehmen' grin upon his face, his legs were spread wide and he was leaning into the lens of the camera. This is a classic narcissist pose. This is the same pose I've so often seen in family pictures of my mother. What is the moral of this tale? If a person looks like a narcissist, acts like a narcissist, he is a narcissist and if you don't watch out he will consume you, spit out your bones and and then it's your fault he is so damn fat.

......a violent summer storm to a widowed mother in the Julia Chester Hospital in Hope,

I thought that a "widow" is a woman who has lost her husband.

IIRC there may have been a problem with the legality of the Blythe marriage....BJ's father may have forgotten that he was already married to another woman, so BJ's mom may not have really been a "widow."

"Now, with hair grayer and wrinkles deeper, but with the same optimism and hope I brought to the work I love eight years ago, my heart is filled with gratitude."

Trying really hard to make himself appear like a statesman!

Sure his heart is filled with gratitude! The American people elevated a hillbilly scumbag who never had a real job or owned anything on his own without a government handout by making him their president and now a millionaire.

He paid us back by staying the scumbag that he was. Living like a king by traveling all over the world on tax payer money and soiling our White House by turning it into a house of prostitution. He disregarded the security of our country by selling secrets for money.

Now he wants us to elect his wide-load wife so that all of this can be repeated. If America is dumb enough to do that - then they will get more of the same - and probably worse!

Clinton may be the worst writer to ever make $10 Million on a book.

I have a sixth grader who writes better than this!

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only."

Well, we need to find out what the weather was like that fateful afternoon in Arkansas. Was there a storm? Clear skies? Or is this all narcissistic confabulation?

I don't know if there are internet weather records. The newspaper in Arkansas that day would have a weather report.

Pinning this down would be helpful, as "Lie from the first sentence" is a good pithy put down.
