The NBC Nightly News' Truth Squad did a review of Michael Moron's Fahrenheit 911.
Here are a few words they used to describe this "documentary"...

This is not a joke.
NBC was not kind to Moore's movie as they analyzed it to see whether it was factual or not.
I wish the clip or transcript were available. It did my heart good to see a major media outlet lay it on the line for once.

I wasn't born when Jimmy Carter was in the White House. I'm 18, born during the presidency of the great Ronaldus Magnus. Every elected Democrat I've seen in my life (save people like Zell Miller), such as Hilbillary!, Albore, Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, Kerry, et al. has been a raving liberal lunatic dedicated to socialism and absolute power. A leftist Democrat party is all I have ever known.
I was born in 1970, and from what I gather from my parents, the Democrats weren't quite as looney back then as they are now, although this country was more liberal then as it is now.

And the sad part is the liberals don't understand that they don't understand. If we really were a kinder gentler society, they would be put away in homes somewhere for their own protection of self-inflicted stupidity.

On PBS tonight they had an old hippie type and a young normal person debating the merits of the film. The old hippie type was goofy and stupid; the normal young man was very convincing and full of common sense. Ha!
I predict you will see more stories like that. This is damage control, or perhaps damage prevention. It is a warning for over-zealous Kerry supporters and the media (Is there a difference?) not to get too outlandish in their criticism of Bush. Moore is too much of a crank -- almost achieving the crank status of those who believe they have been abducted by space aliens -- and while this crank factor stirs the true believers it may turn off more undecideds than it converts. By the way, Gore's bitterness may in the next few years turn the ex-VP into a full-fledged crank. I hope he then gets his own T.V. show -- it should be fun to watch. In the near term, perhaps a few more outbursts from Gore will take a few points from Kerry. Likewise, Moore's kooky film might have an unintended effect on the more intelligent undecideds who see it.
