Yeah I always shift 9 points GOP for media bias... "dead even" polls are deadly for a Democrat.

But, it got them their "It's a Dead Heat!" headline so that's all that really matters to them.
That' ok. When election day rolls around, we will see Danny, Petah and Tommy (and lil' Tommy too) with that stunned, deer-in-headlights look because they had lied to themselves all along.

Wow, what a surprise. /sarcasm

And, considering that Kerry was, in their poll, up by as much as 8 points (5/2/2004), it really does mean that Kerry is in a lot of trouble.

Haha.
More proof that polls on policy matters are a complete waste of time.

"CBS salts their polls with democrats? Say it ain't so."
Raises the issue that they probably always have.
Given that there are more registered dem, what is a normal ratio for a good poll?

Just like a certain election we are all trying to forget the pollsters have to get the turnout right to be accurate. Turnout is everything in an election. Unless you are a rat thaen you can just make up voters.

The MOE is pretty high when it comes to an LA Times or CBS news poll.

Wonder what the true registration differnces are. I think there are more Democrats than Republicans, but it evens out for Republicans because they are more likely to vote. A moe accurate poll would use "likely voters".
