Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-Cuba), speaking at a Democratic party fundraiser in San Francisco yesterday, was remarkably frank about the Democrats' intentions to use socialist redistribution policies if the party gains power after the November elections.
As reported by the Associated Press, Sen. Clinton said, "Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
With her blunt statement, Sen. Clinton has drawn clear the difference between the two major parties: The Marxist Democratic party will "take things away from you on behalf of the common good" while the Republicans will defend your right to spend your money as you see fit because they know it's your money, not the government's.
Remember this during the long slog to the elections this year. The choice is clear: Marxism or freedom. Vote wisely.
Gee. That makes me feel so warm and fuzzy.
The arrogance of this type of attitude is why people like this should never be elected.
Ole Thunder Thighs a socialist! Whoda thunkit>
What how can that be? I thought tax cuts only help the rich!
Did they applaud?

Joining other Democratic women senators at an event for Sen. Barbara Boxer, who's seeking re-election, Hillary Clinton told hundreds of party faithful to expect to lose some of the tax cuts passed under President Bush if Democrats take control in Washington next year.
"Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."
Blocks away at San Francisco's historic Ferry Building, President Clinton promoted his best-selling "My Life," signing books for at least 3,000 people.
The Clintons followed largely separate schedules throughout the day, with Sen. Clinton heading south to Monterey for a public policy forum and her husband headlining a fund-raiser Monday evening for the American Himalayan Foundation.
On Tuesday, the former president and Arkansas governor will continue his book tour at several stops around the Bay Area and will be the star attraction at a fund-raiser for House Democrats. "

This needs to be archived until 2008. It will be of very good use then.
The state budget also includes a plan to borrow $1.9 billion to pay operating costs. Republicans filed a lawsuit to challenge the borrowing on the grounds that it violates the legal requirement for a balanced budget.
It's good to see there are Republicans in the Garden State with some backbone.
Tough break for Springsteen and Bon Jovi with the millionaires tax.
Surprisingly blunt for Hitlery. But nothing new here. They have taking things away from me for the common good all my life. I guess she meant they are just going to take away more of it.
Exactly what Jim McGreevy said in New Jersey yesterday when he signed his tax increases into law.
