I do remember that letter and it contains nothing but the truth. Illegal immigration is a serious problem that will not be solved by offering amnesty to people who willfully break US law, ignore employers who break US law and by offering endless welfare payouts to people who aren't US citizens.
If the good people of Colorado hand out 'endless welfare payouts' to undocumented immigrants, how is that the fault of anyone except the good people of Colorado?

Ask the folks in Arizona, Brownsville, Texas, So California and all the other places near the border. Their treasuries are broke and in red ink because of illegal immigration. Amnesty and a continued influx of illegals will only make that situation worse.
Let us not forget the social security agreement that Bush and Mexico signed last Tuesday. Bush is putting his own wedges in his campaign by giving American social security to Mexico. This will be a big issue in the election.
His letter hardly contains The Truth. It merely contains some details that he hopes will scare women and children and unemployed men into sending him fifty bucks.
Corporations may be calling many of the shots with Congress (which I doubt), but it's not because they're hiring illegal immigrants who work for next to nothing. It's not worth the time or trouble for them to do.
Mr. Tancredo's argument also includes how illegals are taking away cheap jobs that should rightly go to Americans(!!). Cheap, low-paying jobs that should go to Americans? I thought the bad corporations were off-shoring all the cheapy jobs to exotic places like India and Idaho. Sheesh. What planet has Tom been on, anyway?
