Because McKoy was only 15 years old at the times of both murders he can only receive 30 years to Life as a maximum sentence, 15 years for each murder. There is no death penalty available for prosecuters to persue for any offender under the age of 18 in NY State. Thank God. We wouldn't want to ruin this poor kid's life by denying him parole. And God forbid he should be eligible for the death penalty

We had a guy (same town) who did get the death penalty. A judge vacated the sentence. NY only looks like it has the death penalty. I don't know of anyone who's actually had a date with Ol' Sparky.
