Do you all really think this will happen here or will there be Civil War II first?

Think frog in slowly warming pan of water.  Then look at what Ashcroft has been doing to individual liberty and the reaction among conservatives.  The civil war is going on right now. 

This is it, and there will be no winners as long as the right believes in the liberties of the marketplace but not in those of culture, and the left believes in the liberties of culture but not the marketplace.

You are correct. We can hardly claim that we have "freedom of religion" or "freedom of worship" in Sweden any longer. Freedom of speech has of course been on the endangered species list a long time.

I know other Swedish pastors, Lutheran pastors in den svenska kyrkan but in the conservative missionsprovinsen, who likewise rightly believe and teach that homosexuality is a sin. I have heard one of them give a blistering attack--in public--against the heretic Archbishop K. G. Hammar, who approves of homosexuality. But these men are going to stand up for the truth and are not afraid of what will happen to them.

All I can say is that I find it very weird that they have found him guilty and sentenced him to jail considering that Sweden is reknowned for allowing Neo-Nazi's get away with their "parties" and their demonstrations/marches every year in November, all in the name of "Freedom of Speech". Seems it's ok to be a neonazi but not to be anti-gay. There are a lot of double standards in Sweden which one notices after a while of living in this country.

I understand what the word incitement means. It seems to me that you would have to torture the meaning of incitement, if this sermon was delivered to his congregation inside a house of worship. If he were preaching his sermon on the street corner during a gay rights parade, then I could understand the application of incitement.

But if he were preaching on the street during a gay rights parade, it would be himself that he'd be putting in danger, not the gays. Such incidents have happened, in which a private criticism of the parade by a heterosexual was overheard, and a lynch mob formed, trying to kill the critic.

In 1991, New York Newsday columnist Jim Dwyer wrote of the near-lynching of a heterosexual man by a homosexual mob at the annual New York City Gay Pride parade. The man had muttered to his girlfriend about the aggressive attitude of the "fags" at the parade. A nearby spectator overheard him, and organized a lynch mob, which chased after the man. A police officer saved the man, by putting him in a taxicab that sped from the scene. No members of the mob were arrested.

Dwyer alone reported on the incident. Local media outlets all reported, however, on three thugs who were arrested at the parade, for attempting to attack homosexuals with baseball bats. And so, instead of showing that homosexuals were both attackers and victims that day, the media portrayed them exclusively as victims.

I think a civil war sometime in the next 100 years is all but inevitable, unless the right-wing decides to give up with a whimper, because the left-wing won't.

The right-wing hasn't given up, but the Republicans have, and that has crippled the Right's effectiveness. Ultimately, the GOP says, "It's our way or the highway." And I don't have an answer; I'm voting for George C. Bush this November.
