07-02) 22:27 PDT BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) --
U.S. forces uncovered a facility where car and roadside bombs were made, and detained 51 people believed linked to an insurgent cell, U.S. military officials said Saturday.
Soldiers from the 1st Battalion 8th Cavalry Regiment discovered four vehicles that were to be potentially used as car bombs and several assembled roadside bombs.

Where they get all this money for these cars is something I`ll never understand. I would assume it`s from Osama, but I mean how are they getting this loot, from cash machines? Or are they just carrying around millions in suitcases? I wonder if anyone is following any kind of a money trail. I mean look in the used car section of your local paper, even a lemon would cost you quite a bit of loot and these guys are blowing them up everyday.
Where are they getting their money? That's simple... Saudi Arabia... Iran... Syria... Jordan... Yemen... Qatar... UAE... Bahrain... George Soros... Michael Moore...
They can't be comfortable with the thoughts they are having about their future.
I would imagine they can expect stoning or beheading for their crimes.
Given these choices I would take the sword. I doubt they will be given a choice.
Our Troops make a GREAT CATCH!!! AGAIN...
Way to go!
Absolutely correct.
Also where are they getting their moral support and "advertising"? That's simple... Saudi Arabia... Iran... Syria... Jordan... Yemen... Qatar... UAE... Bahrain... George Soros... Michael Moore...
That raid will save a lot of lives.
A better move would have been to surround the building call in a couple of planes with 500 lb. bombs and level the place. Result. No bombers, no prisoners, no trials.
BRAVO, guys!!!!!! Way to go!!!
The left and AQ will have to find another way to wreck the progress that has been made in Iraq now that this factory has been shutdown.
Yup. I guess they are hoping to get some info.
WOW! That was my old unit! Go Mustangs!!
Let's see if 51 terrorists can fit into a Toyota. That's one game show Al Jazzy won't air.
did you see all those hidden stashes of cash found in dog houses and the walls of schools at the beginning of all of this? I suspect that saddam had a couple of higing places that his escaped generals have been using.
"detain"? How about taking out back and SHOOT?
Congratulations to our troops. A job well done. I pray for their safety and success in all future operations.
This is already a big plus for the new government. They will have to get medieval on the insurgents to make a point.
I worked in Kuwait just before the first Gulf War and had to drive from Kuwait City to Al Ahmadi every day. Their highways were like Interstate 5 - three lanes each way, except they had few exits.
If you wanted to go the other way, you got into the hi-speed lane and made a U-turn through the divider into the oncoming high-speed lane. Plus the turn about could only hold about four cars so if there were five waiting to go through, you met a stopped car in the high-speed lane.
Ergo, lots of wrecked cars as everybody drove at least 70 mph. Funny thing though, you'd see a wrecked car one day and the next day it was gone. I thought the clean-up crews were doing a great job and mentioned it at work.
They all laughed and said if you didn't remove your wreck, the cars were confiscated, otherwise the terrorists would patch them up and use them as bombs.
If the Iraqis are as bad drivers as those Kuwaitis, maybe the terrorists are picking them up there.
There is money. $ millions. Why is a mystery. The cost of a car is petty cash to them.
