The Bush people are not good at "I told you so". They believe it's small and petty. It is .. but in the case of public information regarding the war .. I think they need to change their policy.

In the past, Presidents have used their Vice Presidents as bulldogs to say the tough things that do not necessarily "rise" to the level of dignity that a President should display. The best, and worst, example of this was Spiro Agnew within the Nixon Administration. He did the bare-fisted fighting with the media and the "effete imputent snobs" which Nixon felt he couldn't, as President.

I know Dick Cheney is a man of dignity, but he should be assigned to go around and rub the Democrats' and the media's nose in stories like this. Perhaps he's gearing up for this, taking Kerry and Dems to task a bit this week, but something like what you stated needs to take place. It's long past due.

Are they that intellectually dishonest or just that stupid?

Bush said Iraq was an imitate threat according to the Dems.

The Bush Administration said Iraq war would be a "cakewalk" according to the Dems.

Are you seeing a pattern here?

It isn't intellectual dishonesty, they are lying through their teeth.

Yes, It's long past due .. but I still believe the President has a hard time saying ugly things about people .. it's just not who he is.

And .. you're correct .. recently Cheney has been dishing it out pretty heavy. For the first time, I heard Cheney actually mentioning Clinton by name, as Cheney told of all the attacks upon America during the 90's which were never answered.

Since Cheney has begun this attack .. I am hoping it will not stop but will increase until the election.

According to a senior counter-proliferation official, meetings between Niger officials and would-be buyers from the five countries were held in several European countries, including Italy. Intelligence officers were convinced that the uranium would be smuggled from abandoned mines in Niger, thereby circumventing official export controls. "The sources were trustworthy. There were several sources, and they were reliable sources," an official involved in the European intelligence gathering operation said.

The sources is obviously not an American "senior counter-proliferation official".

And, just as obviously, the European intelligence officials had no interest in sharing these sources with Ms. Plame's group. Could it be that they didn't trust Ms. Valerie and the CIA's coterie of political hacks?

Which also goes to explain why Joe C. got so exercised when he found out the Brits were holding out on him (and Ms. Valerie).

Yep. Remember how he angrily recited various laws and protocols why the Brits should share the intel sources?

If I were the Brits, I wouldn't. the American side has been compromised.

But by whom?

The Democrats? - Joe Wilson.

The French? - Joe Wilson loves them, at the minimum.

Or the Saudis? - Joe Wilson's employed by the Saudi-controlled Rock Creek Corporation.

Sounds like we got a three'fer here.

In one sense, I am more ticked at the GWB campaign and/or the White House for NOT calling a major press conference to announce this and set the record straight!!!!

I mean, c'mon. The talkin head lame-ass media bashed Bush over the head for weeks and weeks, claiming GWB's 16 words in the SOTU speech about Iraq's yellow cake quest were "the biggest lie ever put forth in a State of the Union Address"

In fact, GWB and Colin Powell and Condi Rice even got so rattled they admitted they should not have allowed the Prez to use that line in the SOTU speech in the first place.

What the "f is going on here??

The White House is either going senile, or they are forgetting how to fight back. Either way, I am ticked at how they seem to be botching this nuclear materials in Iraq issue.
