There was a magazine a while back called, I think, "Talk". Back in 2000 or 1999 they had an interview with then Texas Governor Bush and in the the interview he used the s word which means excrement.

It was one of the first things I'd seen about him and it did not leave a good impression.

Since then, of course, President Bush has shown a lot and merited great respect.

I often wondered if his use of foul language in that interview was real or false.

Leave us not be so prissy, this great nation was not built by men who never used a barnyard expression.

In that region of the country many don't consider that word to be bad, and it rarely was used to refer to excretement.

It is a term of endearment "Ain't he a cute little s...". It is used as a term of amazement s......t!(must be drawn out). And it is used as a term to represent an accumulation of something "All that s..."

In Oklahoma I had high school teachers that used the word all the time, even ministers and doctors would use the term.

Maybe the President was referring to the Society to Highlight Ingrate Terms (SHIT). Do you remember how the word was used?

Anyone around the Texas Oil Patch will be exposed to a lot of colorful language. Ditto baseball players.

Running for president is a popularity contest. Politicians tend to take on the mannerisms of whoever they happen to be talking to. I would be surprised if Bush didn't use profanity when he is around his old boys club crones.

Wow, you'd be in for a real shock if the s word leaves a bad impression. Here in the real world it is a common word.
