What I can't seem to find out is whether these results corroborate, or refute the MSW effect.

My understanding of MSW is that it relies on the passage of the neutrino through matter to cause (or enhance) the flavor change, whereas other theories predict flavor changing oscillations as the neutrino travels trough essentially empty space.

Have you any insight into whether or not MSW is supported by this result?

I believe the original ftl neutrino results were correct but that they didn’t want anyone to know this for some reason that has to do with playing with time. Thus a time-out was established.

Scientist that observed those test said that everything had be double checked.
