Obscenity Laced Celebrity Hate Fest Reflects Kerry-Edwards Values

Something to Yak About – Obscenity Laced Celebrity Hate Fest Reflects Kerry-Edwards Values
A lot of papers carried an item Friday about the star-studded fundraiser in New York City, fawning over the Hollywood Big Shots who helped John Kerry raise $7.5 million. What many of those reports glossed over was the “X-rated rant,” of Whoopi Goldberg while Kerry could be seen, “laughing uproariously during part of Goldberg's tirade.” John Kerry’s response to the invective laden hate mongering? "Every performer tonight ... conveyed to you the heart and soul of our country.”

John-John Shows Less Sense Than Dean
We’ve already seen more than our share of ‘Hard To Believe’ moments in the John Kerry campaign, but The Yak had not anticipated the Gentleman from Massachusetts showing less leadership than Howard ‘I Have a Scream’ Dean. Back in December, Dean was the guest of honor at another Bush-bashing hate fest, but had the smarts to say afterwards that some of the remarks were wrong. While John Kerry was praising weak sex jokes as “The heart and soul of America,” John Edwards was telling donors their campaign would be “a celebration of real American values.” Does anyone else feel the need to take a shower?

‘Far Left Field’
John Kerry has publicly poo-pooed National Journal’s ranking of him as the most liberal member of the 2003 Senate, and his choice of fourth-most liberal Senator John Edwards mirrors his own extreme liberalism. But when you do the math, it turns out the John-John ticket boils down to, “the most liberal senators ever to run for national office on the same major-party ticket.” How much traction can this “far left field,” ticket get when people see more about their ‘heart and soul’?

Voters, "deserve a president who knows the difference between what is right and what is wrong." (SOURCE: John Edwards, speaking at a profanity laden fundraising event for John Kerry July 8)

'Kerry thanked all the performers for "an extraordinary evening," hailed the "great producers" - Harvey Weinstein of Miramax and Jann Wenner - and said "every performer tonight ... conveyed to you the heart and soul of our country." '

Miramax. We should be able to send a message to Miramax.

It's not too hard to check on the producers of the movies before you buy those tickets...

since I didn't know who Jann Wenner was, I yahooed it - I am not going to copy and paste, but you could go here:

http://www.queertheory.com/histories/w/wenner_jann.htm

which was the third entry, I didn't go by the URL because it was interesting, believe me!!!

He is another interesting example of Beau and Tox's American Values Parade Leaders.

Kerry and The Kid need to shine the light on what they promised these clowns for their money.
I want to see the tape - why are they hiding the tape?

Mention the Democrats hiding a tape and the middle will go bananas.

Not related to this thread, but for something a little more humorous you gotta see the JibJab video My Land - a Woody Guthrie parody of this election, at:

Whoopi Goldberg really shouldn't start drinking before she goes out to perform. She tends to slur her words and stumble about a bit. And she also says things that she may regret the following day.

She called John Edwards 'the kid'? Isn't that a tad disrespectful?

Probably the least disrespectful thing she did the whole evening.

I keep remembering the days when Hollywood actually respected the Presidency. They might make jokes about it but they were nothing like this. And only a few were active in politics and they tended to be sincere, Redford, Newman and Heston were about it (well of course Jane Fonda!). Since Clinton it has been ugly and blatant and every idiot there has a political opinion, even though they share nothing of their wealth. They contribute zero to society, live their sleazy corrupt lives, have vitually no education, then come through every time for Dems, trashing Pres. Bush in the lowest possible ways. How I long for the fun, corny political jabs of Bob Hope!!

which reminds me, does anyone have a copy of that e-mail that went around long ago that compared the education levels of the "Artists" who attacked Bush, with Bush's own (impressive) educational attainments?

From the article:

But when you do the math, it turns out the John-John ticket boils down to, “the most liberal senators ever to run for national office on the same major-party ticket.”

As I understand it (from Americans for Democratic Action rankings), the Kerry/Edwards ticket is even more liberal than the fringe Mondale/Ferrarro ticket was. If they leaned any more to the left, they'd fall over.

Evil always like to make itself look bigger and more powerful than it actually is and uses loud-mouthed, pitiful specimens to voice its message. The "people" (and I use that term loosely) who participated in the hatefest have no true power over any of us. They're just actors, for heaven's sake. I think of them like the huge shadow cast by a bug on a wall...looks scary but it's really just a little insect that needs squashing. Ignore them and they'll have to resort to smearing themselves with their own excrement for attention.

And just think of all the celebrities who DIDN'T attend.

The same thing happened in the primaries at a fund raiser for Dean.

How can we tell when Goldberg is drinking, or not drinking?

It all sounds the same after awhile.

They do not represent the mainstream of American values, but in 2004 they represent the Democrat Party, which will make it official later this month.
