Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle -- embroiled in a tough re-election campaign in South Dakota -- distanced himself this week from documentary film director Michael Moore, whose "Fahrenheit 9/11" D.C. premiere he attended last month. Transcribed:
Don't take me as I am in this election year, take me as I say I am, and then trust me...

If Mr. Daschle's excuse is accurate, Mr. Wadhams said, "it says something about Michael Moore's credibility."
BWAAAHAAAHAAAHAAA!!
How can they misidentify each other? The little guy had to stand on his chair, and he couldn't get his arms around the fictitious "filmmaker."
As Flounder would say, "Boy, is this great!"

So who is lying here, Daschle or Moore?
Given the general reliability of both parties, the answer is probably both...
The plus side is that even Tom Daschle has come to realize that F9/11 is political poison and will lead to voter backlash in November. It is going to be soooooo much fun to watch these guys lose. I think Daschle will be "deeply saddened" in November.

His recollection directly disputes assertions made by Mr. Moore, who sat a few rows behind Mr. Daschle at the premiere. Mr. Moore, he's calling you a liar, sue him!
