Get out! We would never postpone elections. It would be to give in to the terrorists and we aren't about to do that. AND, the conspiracy theorists and leftists would cause such a revolt the Civil War would look like a tea party.

If we postpone the election, does that mean the current admin will be allowed to stay indefinitely???

Why postpone? How about doing like the Iraqi handover, and move it up a couple of days...
;o)

This, and the "dump Cheney" garbage, seem to be the Dems latest "chicken little" issues. Ignore them.

......reviewing a proposal that could allow for the postponement of the November presidential election in the event of such an attack......

CERTAINLY NOT, and I don't care what any terrorists do! If voting is disrupted in NYC, for example, then brave Americans will continue voting elsewhere!

That would work for me just fine :-)

The malignant narcissists who call themselves Democrats would be lucky to get elected dog catcher in my lifetime if this story pans out.

Well, if an attack closed down a large sector of a populated metropolitan area, I could see where elections would be postponed.

Why?...don't you know the Dems want every vote counted (end/ sarcasm), and if there is a possibility that one of their voters isn't going to make it to the polling place to vote, they're going to cry "foul", "stolen election", etc. etc.

The only postponement might be in the reporting of returns as millions of Americans in the effected areas use PAPER ballots to vote.

What a non story. There is no way congress is going to legislate something as tricky as when to postpone an election in the few months left before November.

Didn't Chrissy Matthews start this mantra, just as he started the Kerry/McCain Dream Team campaign? That hysterical slobbering screamer is another one that will do anything to get rid of W.

Wait a second. I thought Iraq and Saddam were the culprits behind out terrorism problem. But Saddam's in jail and his party is broken up. Could it be that those of us who said Al Quada should be our focus - - finish the job in Afghanistand and Pakistan and get Osama before getting diverted to Iraq - - - might have been right all along? Saddam's in jail - but we're still scared in the Homeland. Hmmm. Maybe the Iraq war was a wasteful diversion after all.

Threats to the American election work in favor of Bush-Cheney. Conservatives are the ones with enough cojones to come to the polls. All you metro-wussies....stay home with yer mommas.

Another bogus story to stir up the Dem conspiracy nuts. How about if we move the elections up to mess up the terrorists plans?

I guess I should be scared, not.

If this does happen, no half-measures.

That's laughable because it isn't even going to be solved with the capture of OBL and the cleaning up of Afghanistan. They are scattered everywhere. This is not a war that is only going to take a couple of years. They are all hell-bent on our destruction. Iraq took a very dangerous regime out of the process and is one part of the problem. We need to get decent govt's in those countries that will fight terrorist activity and change the region. Afghanistan and Iraq were part of the problem. Get real in thinking that it ended after Afghanistan because it is pretty obvious it doesn't end with Afghanistan and Bush and his administration are wise enough to know this is a long war to change the Middle East and kill terrorists there. You still offer up no alternative.
