Shouldn't that be termed a "huge poof-piece?" ;-)

How disgusting. How disgraceful that Newsweek is so blatant in their support of these clowns... They totally LIE, as anyone who's been following the race knows that BOTH of these clowns have been NOTHING but negative... The only positive thing is that SKUMBAG SKERRY didn't harshly attack Edwards, and vice-versa (Because the race was already wrapped up). Gay-boy Breck Girl Edwards is just as negative with his 2 Americas, only he does it with a smile, trying to fool as many Americans as possible with it and his cow of a wife (I wouldn't have personally attacked her if she didn't make all of those outrageous statements herself last week, that LARD-BUTT).

I cannot help but think that these two sweethearts have time to toss a football for photo-ops but do NOT have time for terrorist briefings.

That was nauseatingly loving of Newsweek to do.

I can hardly believe that I ever subscribed to that rag.

When you click on that story, after seeing the dysfuntional family picture (with Te-RAY-Sa, the other cow, front and center), you'll notice under Campaign 2004, there are 5 stories, in addition to this one - it looks and smells to me like an ad for these scumbags. Here are the 5 stories

* Warming Up Kerry

* An interview with the new team (softball questions/puff piece)

* Alter: the Art of the Closing Argument (why Edwards legal skills will help, from commie Alter)

* John Edwards: VP Hopeful, Boyish Wonder (Hello! he's over 50!!!)

* Elizabeth Edwards: A Woman of the People (Another Puff Piece on Fat Cow)

Maybe it's just me, but isn't there almost a gay subtext to the article? Soft hands, receiver. I'm not a conspiracy kind of gal, but it just seemed odd.

Second comment. The football throwing seems to me a Kennedyesque image and I would be surprised if it wasn't a deliberate one.

We're back in Camelot - not!!!!!!!!!

Agreed. Wholeheartedly.

Their bias is showing. No surprise, of course.

When Edwards was asked for his views on nuclear proliferation, Kerry—with a polite but firm "Do you mind?"—stepped in to answer the question with an air of authority, leaving Edwards to fiddle impatiently with the football until it was his turn.

Sounds like trouble in paradise to me. This incident along with Campaign Carl's report on the 60 minutes interview confirms that clouds are forming over the sunshine boys.

Honestly, it's alomost like we're living in a communist country with the media only telling you what THEY want you to hear... Spinning/omitting/lying about everything else.

Oh man. I subscribed to Newsweek for years. It really started hacking me off in the mid 1990s and I dropped it. Not too much later I found a website called something like Free Republic, where I found fellow conservatives who thought Newsweek was pathetic.

I wish I could remember that website. It was really good. ;-)

Howard Fineman and Richard Wolffe really screwed up. The opening line should have been "It was a dark and stormy night..."
