Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said yesterday that conservative "activists" should organize protests over the Goldberg episode at Kerry-Edwards rallies.
"We ought to have volunteer activists who start showing up around Kerry-Edwards events with signs demanding that they release the videotape of the entertainment last Thursday night," he told radio host Sean Hannity.
Gingrich added, "Maybe the activists who are listening to this could help with this a bit" - a message apparently directed at members of FreeRepublic.com - the internet group that proved so effective during the 2000 election and Florida recount.
Gingrich said the tape was important because it would show how Democats on hand "reacted to demeaning the President of the United States.

Hmmmm..... it appears to me that Newsmax is calling specifically for Free Republic, not Newt...
It was reported that MTV has the tape of the "event".
I heard Newt say it on Hannity's show. I wouldn't post it if I didn't get this impression from him.
Of course, maybe I wanted to hear it.
Did that yesterday or the day before, it's all a blur. Newt is a little slow on this.
The publicity given to the Wellstone funerally helped Republicans get elected. That's a good thing. More information in the hands of citizens is a good thing. Remember how Yassir Arafat spoke pro-American pro-peace in English, but in Arabic (?) he demagogued anti-Israel violence? Democrats and Independents everywhere might be turned against Kerry for what goes on in his presence at a Kerry rally.
here was the post...

and hopefully I did that right. jmstein posted it yesterday
I e-mailed them last night. My wife and I just started buying Slim Fast products but NO MO, NO MO, NO MO. Whoopi has to go. I also heard that the Prez of Slim Fast and his wife have given over 1.2 million dollars to the Dems.
Also, PROGRESSIVE CAR INSURANCE OWNER is a big Dem. contributor. I switched from Progressive to another ins. co.
It's time to get a little radical.
FREE THE HATE TAPE
I suggested that was dishonest since he wouldn't have the money if it weren't for the insurance company he runs.
I convinced my daughter to drop Progressive and she did!
We have to let these companies know that if they choose to be political they ought to be prepared to pay the price.
Remember, just a few weeks ago when John Kerry was annoyed about actually showing up to work to vote on a bill that the Republicans then delayed, said "They have no respect for the institutions..."

They didn't know what I was talking about so I had to explain about reading on the internet that Slime Fast was allowing its consumers who are outraged by their sponsorship of Goldberg to return any of their products for a refund.
They said they would check with Slime Fast on what the procedure was.
Hey Laserman, where are you lasering?
I'm in the laser biz myself.
Why are they ashamed to show their own people campaigning for John Kerry?
The tape represents what John Kerry sees as traditional American values. Why would anyone be offended?
Why are they hiding this from the American voter? Do they not like their traditional America? Should we not see what John Kerry thinks we are?
Kerry praised the celebrities for conveying "the heart and soul of our country,"so shouldn't it give him a huge jump in the polls? According to John Kerry, all this is a reflection of the American people.
E.D.(Fox & Friends):This morning began poorly. I've been on the South Beach diet, trying to lose the latest baby weight, but had been subbing in Slim Fast bars in the morning on occasion. THEN Brian announces Whoppi Goldberg is the spokesperson for the company. I can't support her after listening to that obscene, foul-language-filled rant at the Kerry fundraiser, so that means I had to toss the Slim Fast bar.
Why can't people expand their vocabulary enough to express their opinions without profanity?
Just a radical thought.

Watch "FOX & Friends First" weekdays starting at 6 a.m. ET
So, does anyone agree with him? Are all Americans low life skanks like John Kerry claims?
NEWS ITEM: A conflicted Michael Moore is reconsidering his years-old, self-imposed boycott of Slim Fast.
