He was NOT charged. Yet a woman just a few miles away was areested and charged yesterday for having a pig in her air conditioned trunk of her car. The pig is alive and well. She was trying to offer it as bait to lure a loose tiger in her neighborhood. The cops later shot and killed the tiger.

It was former Tarzans tiger here in Loxahatchee.

What an idiot...my God, what an idiot. I have baby daughter...and this story makes my spine painful.

I can think of a way for him to spend more time with his son.

Maybe they should lock that dentist into an eco-friendly Prius for three hours and see what happens.

This is what happens when "parents" (and I use that term here very loosely) consider their children more as fashion accessories, rather than the most important responsibility in their lives.
Oh but I forgot, it's all about "me" for these people.

So the dentist takes (took) his toddler to work???
1. His staff must have loves having him for a boss, not only did they have to deal with the patients, they had to babysit the kid. A toddler running around a medical/dental office all day is not a safe situation. There are too many things for them to get into. They, are not usually not baby proof.
2. If this guys couldn't have remember his kid in the car, what makes you think that he is going to remember wether he gave you the Novocaine shot and just start drilling?

"I can think of a way for him to spend more time with his son."
As a father who wanted to spend more time with his son, I'm sure that he is contemplating it too.

"He seemed like a very pleasant person," said an office manager named Sheila who declined to give her last name. "How does one forget that they have children in the car?" What can I say? I've raised 4 kids and never came close to forgetting one, car or not.

"never came close to forgetting one, car or not."
My sentiments exactly. Letting these parents off is just another blatant disregard for the welfare of children in this country. There is something grosely wrong when a parent forgets a child in a car and they are cooked to death. They need to be held accountable. This is so disgusting!
To: Wally_Kalbacken
I doubt it; the kid is in heaven now....I have my doubts about whether the dad will end up there.

I slightly freak out when my three-year-old Son hides for some "Peek-a-boo" fun -without my knowledge...

....I have my doubts about whether the dad will end up there. Don't blame him, blame the SUV.
Well, maybe blame him a little for leaving a child alone with a known man-killer.
Sad story, and prayers for the child, as for the father, well....

Ah yes... summer arrives, and it's time for the rash of stories about kids left in cars in hot places. Followed of course by the required posts by people who know better that have never made any mistakes, especially deadly ones, pushing for all manner of horrible punishments.
Such a simple and stupid mistake, with such horrific consequences. Beyond the ruinous punishment that this parent will do to themselves for rest of their lives... what punishment would "stop" this sort of thing? If killing the kid isn't enough... then little else will be either.

Tragic. I can see how it could happen though. I know I'll get flamed for this but, I am so absent minded sometimes, that one of my biggest fears was that I would forget my kid in the car or forget that she was in bed sleeping and run out to the store for something, leaving her alone.
Maybe it's a guy thing, or maybe I'm just an idiot, but, if my I had my daughter at a time or place where I normally wouldn't, and she was in the back of the car and fell asleep, I could see myself forgetting she was there.
I never did... maybe it was that fear I had of doing that, or maybe I just got lucky, but I can't condemn anyone for this. The father has the rest of his life to condemn himself. He needs no help from me.
