Ping!
Well. . .
I'm sure the media - who had barely concealed orgasms every time they reported Catholic church molestations (which was nowhere near 10%) - will be all over this story.
Not.
What a name for a sex-abuse researcher!
I can think of 2 cases in my schooling. I graduated from a public high school in Washington State in 1999. I am not going to include the teachers' names, just the first initials.
In one case, an eighth-grade teacher, Mr. M., made sexually suggestive comments to a female student (he told her she had a nice a**). The student filed a complaint, but nothing ever came of it.
Second case, I heard about by rumor after I graduated, that one of my high school English teachers, Ms. F., had been fired for inappropriate contact with a male student.
I had a French teacher in HS that could have abused me at her whim. Sadly no such luck. C'est la vie.
ARM CHILDREN
I have a problem with this.
The perameters used in this 'research' are too wide.
What is a harmless comment/joke to one, could be construed to be an offensive comment/joke to a hyper-sensitive parent hearing it 'second hand'?
The research should be based on pysical sexual abuse and child rape to be accurate, IMO. Or reports of repeated harrassment.
I don't condone ANY sort of sexual innuendo in the schoolroom, BUT, I live in Ireland where there isn't such an uptight politically correct agenda in day to day living either.
James Dobson said back in 1986 that pedophilia was the next taboo to fall after homosexuality, and that the same tactics would be used that were used to mainstream homosexuality.
The underlying survey which produced the "10% are abused" conclusion, counted everything from sexual assault to touching, to "inappropriate comments," to arrive at its figure. This was done to inflate the figures. Actual sex abuse is a small fraction of that 10%. This statement is meant not to justify the situation, just to clarify it.
What I would like to see is reporting of the "edukashun" union membership of the sexually abusive teachers. I expect that NEA members, with their belief in "alternative lifestyles," will be more sexually abusive than their ratio of teachers in American schools (and also more than teachers in parochial schools).

I hope Patricia Ireland and the rest of the Communist Ogre Wh0res (COW) are happy. This is their brain child.
I guess it is a little too early for local Vigilance Committees.
Pervert Pedagouge alert!
The problem is not the homeschooled children.
the problem is the other publik skooled children who end up as adults.

Sex Abuse Revelations: NEA Must Take Action
You have undoubtedly heard of the teacher in Florida who is charged with having sex with her 14 year-old student. According to a new report released yesterday by the U.S. Department of Education this is not as unusual as it sounds. More than 4.5 million students were victims of sexual misconduct in public schools by teachers and other school officials since 1994.
In 80 percent of these cases the adult sexual predators were people who parents entrust their children to, from principals to bus drivers. The National Education Association (NEA) was unfazed by the report and actually criticized its findings. I suppose this is not so surprising since it is the NEA that advocates teaching the "normalcy" of homosexuality, in addition to pushing so-called "safe sex" while fighting abstinence education in the schools.
When the Catholic Church faced a similar scandal there was extensive outrage and investigations were launched by the Church, the media and the public, and rightfully so. Similar scrutiny should also follow these revelations about our nation's public education system where attendance is compulsory.
When children are in harm's way, the NEA can not resort to playing politics. It must decide if it cares about the children or merely its own radical agenda.
Teach your children to disrespect wrongful authority!
Hey, kids - stick a finger in their eye!
