CitiGrouop? Why their Staint Rubin is CitiCorp.

So Rubin is now a baby killer and a person who cheats old people out of their retirements like he did with that call on behalf of Enron to Treasury.

I've got 12 shares and buy some every month. And I'm proud to own part of that company.

If Haliburton is so corrupt and greedy, why don't the government employee groups divest themselves of their holdings? Didn't they divest themselves of all South Africa holdings to protest apartheid? The reason is that the gov employee groups are themselves corrupt and greedy - or perhaps their investment managers actually recognize a good investment.

Halliburton might be corrupt and greedy but their financials are a disaster. One reason probably is their being a government contractor on a large scale. Low balling bids in order to get the contract results in a lot of losses if the costs can't be contained. They have gotten caught up in the asbestos lawsuits which have cost them billions, also. Halliburton was a very successful company when they were totally involved in the oil services business. When they left that they have struggled ever since.

Just to clarify, I am not anti-Haliburton. It is my understanding that their gov contracts in Iraq are a cost-plus 4 or 5% profit. If so, it is difficult to lose money unless the Feds disallowed some of their overhead items in the cost, negating the profit. I know from experience with Federal Government contracts with the DOD that certain expenses which are deductible for tax purposes are not allowed as overhead.

Halliburton is already facing the witholding of millions for overcharging for gas from Kuwait and overcharging for meals by Kellogg and Root, their susidiary. They maintain they are in the red for their operations in Iraq.

Rubin and Clinton were knee-deep into Enron. Isn't if funny how the mainstream media never mentions that fact?
