So, what attributes make a 'news' thread eligible for being moved to 'chat'?

Unqualified? Why?

Examples such as "Gere fumes: ..hopefully another administration in about four months in the US and along with that some sanity on this subject."

I'm not sure what is more stupid. Wanting a Kerry/Edwards administration, or thinking it begins in four months.

"The most important issue is this one, to this planet, to this time and place is AIDS."

Terrorism will kill you faster and more blindly than AIDS ever will. Those who practice abstinence will not contract STDs or get anyone pregnant.

Meanwhile, the Sex Positive Agenda (of which the Homosexual Agenda is a facet) preaches sexual activity at every age. There is no such thing as "immoral"; rape is frowned on because it is not consensual but rape fantasies are perfectly fine. The Sex Positive Agenda sees abstinence as a "bad thing" because it is the supression of the sex drive.

The hedonists will do nothing to improve health (mental or biological).

There already is a cure. Gay men only need to stop sticking their p*nises in other men's a**es!

Isn't that the Gospel Truth??? The BEST quote I've heard in a long time!!!

Sorry kid, back doors aren't my style.

Nor mine. Prior to being turned into a giant gay pedophile bathhouse, Phuket was a favorite watering hole for some very heterosexual aviators on R & R during the little damp down in SEA. Never went there myself; hate the water; that's why I prefer Alice Springs.

... But let me warn you about Harrowup. The man is notorious on FR as one of the rankest Admirals in the navy.

That's Kelvinator fella; you keep forgetting some of your finest work.

NTL, good to see you again.

Not to change the subject, but I'll never forget after 9/11 buddist/pacifist Gere spoke at the New York Fire Department fund raiser asking this earthy, blue collared audience to "love our enemy" only to get booed off the stage. The look of disbelief in his face was priceless!

That is great to hear. It is hard to believe how out of touch these Narcissistic (sp?) Hollywood personalities can become.

"Gere added the billions of dollars spent on the Iraq campaign, "probably could have eradicated this illness".

Aaaaargh ! We've already spent billions on research, treatments and politically correct education about this "illness". This "illness" is a virus and we've never cured a virus. OTOH, abstinence cost nothing and is a sure fire method of eradicating this "illness" in a generation. 25 million Iraqis are now free of the deadly scourge of Saddam and his henchmen. 25 million more in Afghanistan are free of the deadly Taliban mullahs. Between the two, a beacon of hope for the future now shines where fear and oppression once reigned. I'd say that is a pretty good value for our money.
