WASHINGTON, DC Sen. George Allen (R-VA) issued the following statement today in regards to Sen. John Kerrys campaign travel through Virginia:
The citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia are proud of their values and proud of the communities they live in and are dedicated to making their state and their country safer, stronger and more prosperous.
John Kerrys voting record and policy proposals are out of touch with these values and are not reflective of the priorities of Virginians. By constantly voting against tax-relief for working families, constantly advocating burdensome regulations that stifle small business growth and entrepreneurship, John Kerry has forged a Massachusetts liberal record that provides proof of an agenda that would set America on the wrong course for freedom, competitiveness, and job growth.
America needs President Bushs optimistic approach and positive agenda to move forward in these times of change. The last thing Virginians need or want is John Kerrys negative brand of pessimistic politics with higher taxes and more bureaucratic government meddling and dictates.
All the left can say is "anyone but Bush", even in 1932 (possibly the easiest election for a non-incumbent to win) the father of American Marxism had a plan. FDR didn't run around merely bashing Hoover.
I don't think the left even plans to win this election, I think they just want to clear the field for Hillary in 2008.
The ad says that "he (Kerry) is a family man, a hunter, a man of faith, a hockey player, a decorated Viet Nam war veteran with whatever medals besides the purple hearts...etc." The ads almost make our Congressman Virgil Goode and President Bush look like liberals in comparison.
I first thought that said "virgins"....
Was thinking I should invite "the hunter" to the range to shoot my black assualt rifle. (being sarcastic of course)

I think a large part of the left actually wants to win, but the Klintoonites will sabotage them at every opportunity for just the reason you stated. One only needs to read between the lines if the Klintoons to see that.

Isn't it funny that the libs always seem to put a conservative spin on their beliefs? It's so sad that they have nothing to offer without doing this.
Yup....I've seen those comercials...I live near Staunton, our local rag the "News Leader" is in love with John F'n Kerry.
How many votes will that get for him?
Now, this is not a suggestion to the opposition, but if Kerry adds to his commercial that he is a NASCAR fan and in fact, raced go-carts and cars when he was young and aspired to be a race car driver... He could probably convince enough brain-dead voters and give the President a run for his money in these conservative parts of the Commonwealth.
