I did a search of the official PGP key server for "EOM". There are around 20 entries. None of them looks like the EOM doing the posting. There is no requirement for PGP to exist on any given server. Keeping the "public" keys in a private place improves the security of PGP. People who intend to use PGP for secure communications will have their public keys on a server and generally index them by current e-mail address so they can be used to validate a digital signature or decrypt a message. A good key is "signed" by a trusted member of the PGP community. In my case, the key was signed my Marshall Rose for use at my last place of employment.

who does it offend? the sheeple. the sheeple have been conditioned by the media to the point that they would rather die by allowing an islamofascist to fly the plane they were on into a skyscraper - so long as they didn't offend that person when they were boarding the aircraft. and these same sheeple sit on juries, so when the muslims who should be searched sue in court, they award them large settlements. the end result is that the system ia paralyzed - politicians want to get elected, so they fear doing these un-PC things. look at the thread on the poll regarding "torture" of prisoners.

in this country, the people get the government they deserve. they elected the people who setup this system, and they have been conditioned to accept it under the guise of "tolerance". 9-11 did nothing to change that, 3000 dead is not enough of a shock. we live in a country where more people are talking about chickens being killed, then americans who have been beheaded.

I already wrote this in my blog. Or at least tried to. Here my current theory about the origin of the number sequence:

February 24th 2003 at 22:41 somebody searched on AOL for 'americanpitbulls' with this URL:

And he/she found twexus. Twexus thought that everything between encquery= and & was the search string. So it started to 'remember' it. Why do I know? The database takes note when which
term got added, and what the source is. Actually the IP of this page view in question belongs to AOL, so not much more to know from there.

1AB02D188BC35723620E2406B7234504 is nothing more and nothing less than the ISO-8859-1 version of the term: americanpitbulls. Try it: go to the URL above. then change any of the numbers in the the long string. You will find that one of the characters get funny.

I think that twexus is the only place on the web that ever contained this string. Why would anybody encode americanpitbulls in ISO-8859-1 (and then convert it in hex like AOL did).
With a hex string of this length its it is not reasonable to think that it would contain any other information, or that it could have any other meaning.

Now it gets speculative:

I think that somebody thought (not knowing about the simple solution) that this code would be some magic info. Somebody thought that it would be twexus / terrorist way of transporting information. Which is a very stupid assumption for a giziliion reasons. But there are people literally believing in this theory. They might have thought if they combine that magic code with the OBL video that then somebody would figure out what this number combo means ...
They had no way of knowing that the solution for 1AB02D188BC35723620E2406B7234504 is so simple and easy and non dramatic.

As I first though, this code IS fake.

There is no "code" on the video file at all, on any of the frames in question.

Please feel free to check this yourself. I'm not sure of my bandwidth limits on this host, so if it goes down let me know. Please Right Click/Save to your own computer.

Here is the original zip file (28meg) as allegedly posted by Al-Quaeda.

Here is the unzipped version of the original movie, avi version (DivX required) unzipped (37meg), ready to play.

And here is a High Quality Quicktime Movie (5meg), clip, showing the portion of the video that allegedly contained the code. It's about 150 odd frames long. If you have a quicktime player you can shuttle through it yourself, frame by frame, using the cursor keys.

In the meantime, thanks to news4u02 and Vortex, who helped me source and decode the file.

I'll be generous and say I think it's a bit of both.Those that "feed" these sites with "exclusives" and "inside imformation" have an agenda.Those that run these sites are sympathetic to that agenda and are only too willing to believe.

I would say the people who benefit from it, or those you ask you to pay for the "Super Secret" info.

To be honest... I probably will continue to read NEIN, I will just pull my skeptic hat down tight before I do, & think thrice before I submit anything from there to ATS.
