I wonder about the RICO laws, too. According to Tide's own tax filings, they contributed $21,500 directly to The Ruckus Society in 2003 alone.

I doubt $21,500 is all they have actually funded. The RUCKUS Society accepts donations through groundspring.org which is a subsidiary of Tides and can file separate tax returns.
I'm not entirely sure how groundspring.org works.
It's part of the Tides "family" but looks to me like it's a paypal-type service that allows people to donate directly to the nutjobs of their choice. The Ruckus Society has a donate button that takes you to groundspring.org's secure server.
"I wonder about the RICO laws, too"
Thanks. I know its too much of a hot-potatoe for now. But after the election, I wish someone from Justice would look into this.
Groundspring has it's own website and is an organization of Tides. Groundspring is the company that coordinates the on-line donations for tides but they also distribute training material for these groups and individuals to get donations. Groundspring is the cover company for RUCKUS to get direct funds and individual donations from Tides. Tides paid $319,847 to an investment group called Boston Trust and Investment Management Company which is a cover company for Walden Asset Management that invest in the one and only, Walden Social Balanced Fund (WSBFX). This is the same fund that support numerous domestic terrorist groups, anarchist groups, environmental groups, etc.
The short of it is, while Heinz is knowing where her investments are going there are numerous investors that invest in these groups without knowing.
