Some of the groups organizing protests at this summer's Republican National Convention in New York – including one anarchist outfit planning disruptions – get funding from a foundation chaired by Teresa Heinz Kerry, the wife of the presumed Democratic Party presidential nominee, reports Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

Heinz Kerry, worth as much as $1 billion according to some estimates, has directed donations in the millions to the Tides Foundation, a 28-year-old grant-making institution that funds some of the principal groups organizing demonstrations and disruptions of the GOP convention.

The umbrella coalition organizing the protests is called United for Peace and Justice – strongly critical of the war in Iraq. The coalition was sponsored by Ramsey Clark's International Action Center, which was funded by the Tides Center's Iraq Peace Fund and Peace Studies Fund. Clark's group also sponsored International ANSWER. Both groups are run by long-time communist revolutionaries.

I bet FoxNews will be the only "mainstream" media outlet to report this story...

If any group commits a terrorist act the government can freeze any assets of anyone who financed them and or prosecute them.

As if the Democratic Party isn't getting enough financial aid from the foreign-born billionaire Soros, Kerry's Mozambique-born wife is kicking in with her late billionaire lst husband's bucks. God save us from foreign billionaires trying to turn this electon.

Thereeeza, As the former wife of a Republican (and one who claimed to be a Republican herself until a year and a half ago), Mz. Heinz is one vicious broad. Does anybody know how John Keinz's sons feel about their mom spending their inheritances on Ketchup boy?

I'm surprised they didn't mention the Ruckus Society, which Tides has supported as well. It's just your basic money laundering operation.

Teresa Heinz Kerry's favorite charity has also funded The Ruckus Society, an anarchist group known for disrupting the World Trade Organization meeting in Seattle in 1999 and planning similar disruptions for the New York convention. The group has been training protesters for the GOP convention in the art of sit-ins and blockades.

It is mentioned further down in the article.

Got it. Tired.

BTW, I'm not so sure Tides, is "Teresa Heinz Kerry's favorite charity." She didn't give them nearly the kind of money Pew did.

I'm confused here - if the anarchists commit acts of terrorism at the NYC Convention, can the Heinz fortune be RICO'd? If its determined she is funding a terrorist organization?

Ping Justice Dept.

It wouldn't surprise me if she funds all kinds of groups who could be accused of terrorism within our borders.

The RUCKUS Society is funded through Groundspring.org and Groundspring is given grants form TIDES Foundation. This is an elaborate plan to cover up funding of this terrorist organization by the Heinz Foundation. The Ruckus society has been known for burning down newly constructed homes in protest of the lumber industry. They chain themselves to trees in violation of trespassing laws and court rulings. The Protest Warriors will be at the RNC to try to prevent disruptions by groups such as this but they have their work cut out for them. Some of these forest fires that are now burning are suspected as being started by RUCKUS to keep the timber industry from getting the lumber. Make no mistake about it this group will violate the law to make a point regardless of their claim as "peaceful protesters". This group plans, at the RNC, to start an uprising in the protest area by beginning an in-fight in order to tie the police up and get some people outside the protest area to spread their "message". If there is any type of terrorist act by these groups then all people who funded them should be locked up under enemy combatant rules, including Heinz/Kerry.
