He's reading month-old talking points.
Do these people believe that thinking Americans can't see through their disingenuousness? The left only support wars that are conducted by Democrat presidents, usually ones that are never in the vital interest of the United States. Whenever a Republican leads the nation into war for vital interests, they oppose those. Do they think they'll get any mileage by positioning themselves on wars based on partisanship?

"Max Cleland, a badly wounded Vietnam war veteran, thinks he can say anything he wants because he is a "war hero".
War hero? How does one become a war hero when they blow themselves up?

Where is the loony Democrat list?
Former senator butterfingers is being used because he provides a PC visual image.
It is worth contrasting his non-combate accident with Kerry's combat hangnails.

Bill Richardson was saying yesterday how determined they are to tone down the Bush-bashing at the convention.
Yeah, right.

To: dc-zoo
If that is the case, Kerry will lose ground after the Democrat convention.

A hate-Bush fest. Good. Let America be appalled at the tasteless partisanship of the Democrats.

This is a big story, and about fifteen minutes old, so I added 'breaking' to the post. If there's any flak because of this, it should be mine.
PS: Cleland is a lying scumbag.

How can this hero who gave so much personally in defending freedom now so disgrace himself in the name of politics? The DemocRATic party is a cult.

HERE is a link to an old Boston Herald editorial (10/03) that discusses the fact that Joe Wilson was working for the Kerry campaign at the time the "Bush Lied" campaign was begun. Chris Lehane, the infamous campaign dirty trickster was behind the whole thing. Please help me demand that Kerry apologize for this slanderous lie.

Let's use the right verb; he was badly INJURED, but never WOUNDED at all.
To: EllaMinnow
If Cleland is the best ax man Kerry has it should be a shoe-in for Bush. I think he called Bush a Bully? Well then that makes Kerry a Wimp!

I had forgotten that Max Cleland was an original nominee to the 9/11 Commission, till the White House refused to accept him and Kerrey got the seat instead.
As much of a circus as the Commission is - just imagine how it would be with Cleland there.
