Cleland has never forgiven Georgia for squashing his attempt to be Teddy Kennedy South. As a result, he bitterly lashes out at the President and anyone else he can blame for the loss of his Senate seat.

To: My2Cents
Cleland is being used because he is a triple amputee and anyone who condemn his stupidity will be accused of attacking the cripple.
It is a girly man thing to do.

Campaign Carl Cameron said this is a preview of what we're likely to hear at their convention. And what we're not likely to hear on ABCNNBCBS, who will no doubt edit all the unsavory parts when they report on the convention. This is why I plan to record every minute of C-SPAN's coverage, for future use.

How does one become a war hero when they blow themselves up? According to the left, there are plenty of Palestinian war "heroes". They reportedly use "the only weapons they have (sob!) their own bodies..."

How can this hero who gave so much personally in defending freedom now so disgrace himself in the name of politics? You do realize that his injuries, bad as the were, occurred in a non-combat accident, right? Many people assume that he was wounded in combat. He wasn't.

And once again the Clintoon puppet McAuliffe breaks it off in Kerry.
Thank you, Bill and Hillary, for backing the rented mule from Massachusetts into another corner from which there is no escape. I fully support your efforts to ensure a Kerry defeat in 2004. I suspect, though, that we may part company in 2008.

They are working for the convention. This is going to be an asylum. Everybody is going to be off their medications and back on the crack & meth. Sounds like a party to me.
Let these commies make idiots out of the thing. All they have to do is act normal. Then let the propagandists for them try to hide it.....the spin will be unbelievable. Don't believe your lying eyes, believe what we just said!

White House spokesman Scott McClellan shrugged off the Democrats' remarks, saying, "all they can offer is more political attacks" while the rest of the world had agreed on the Iraqi threat based on available intelligence. If this is the best McClellan can offer, instead of angrily denouncing the Rats lies, then the Bush/Cheney campaign is in worser shape than previously believed.

Isn't cleland the one who lost 5 of his six legs in Vietnam???

Don't know about that Wizard, we are living in strange and scary times! Never in our country's history, have we witnessed such insane vitriol coming from the RAT party! It is scary as hell to think the RATS are willing to yield our freedoms and destroy our military for the sake of Power! WE MUST DO SOMETHING, IT IS GETTING OUTTA HAND!
To: longtermmemmory
Funny how Bob Dole and George Bush 41's war history and enemy fire were no match for the "military (loathing) experiences" of Bill Clinton. The double standard continues.

I liked this line too...
"The platform does not get into specifics on all the different issues. ... It is a document that all Democrats can run on."
Just like Dems to have a 'pick and choose' campaign....you flip, we'll flop. HeeHee

European statuary celebrates Max Cleland joining Al Gore, Howard Dean, Michael Moore, Al Franken, etc. (Some are so wacked out they are difficult to identify, anymore.)
Tsk, tsk, tsk. It's not nice to make fun of an amputee...

He does not care if he is being used. Kerry is his meal ticket back into a government job.
His "cripple" status provides a shield to protect kerry's weak military credetials.
There was a radio program that had Vietnam POWs stating how pictures of Kerry's congressional speeches were used to show how the public was against the POWs and they should cooperate. Ala Hanoi Jane.
Cleland is not a fool who should not be suffered.
To: EllaMinnow
Max is really bitter about losing his senatorial sinecure to Saxby Chambliss. I feel for him, but I can't reach him.
I moved to Georgia in time to vote for Saxby Chambliss and Sonny Perdue. Glad I got to vote for them.
Personally, I don't want to listen to anything Cleland says.

Cleland was a hero for serving his country. Now he's a lying political hack. Things can change. He's no longer a hero for what he did thirty years ago because his current dishonorable acts invalidate his right to respect. Outright lying about something that affects the fate of your nation is treason.
