How dare they be so arrogant? Easy - it works for them! The Republicans usually end up playing defense, so why shouldn't the Rats use this strategy. (I hope the Pubbies will take a page out of my Governor Arnold's book and roll these "girlie-men" once and for all.)

Why? Berger is chief foreign policy advisor to John Kerry.
Berger told Kerry about it. You can be darn sure of it.
Martha Stewart did nothing compared to what Berger did.
Did the Democrats leak it before the convention? You bet. They did not want the GOP leaking it during the convention as Berger is on the Kerry team.........

"How does a person "inadvertently" put classified documents in their socks?"

LOL ... if this is their best spin, he might as well go to prison now and ask for Martha as a roomie. At least he'd have a nicely decorated cell!

Only someone from the Clinton Administration could come up with something like this.

"Honey, I inadvertently put a pair of panties in my briefcase"

"Officer, I inadvertently took $100,000 from the bank"

"Honest, Hillary, I inadvertently stained her dress!"

It would be hysterical if it wasn't the former NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR tampering with an official investigation into 9-11.

Of course, we can expect to hear the Jersey Wives scream about this, right?

It took me awhile to get it. Now that I do... peals of laughter.

Looking at this objectively, it's amazing how stupid these men are.

Hatch and Frist Fire Whistle-blower  (snip)
By John M. Powers

Republican leaders have broken a promise they made to expose the shocking contents of memos exchanged among Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats, says Manuel Miranda, the former GOP aide who is the whistle-blower at the center of the so-called Memogate scandal. Miranda tells Insight in an exclusive interview that both Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.) and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) broke clearly stated promises to expose collusion between top Democrats and special-interest groups seeking to thwart President George W. Bush's nominees to federal courts.
"Sen. Hatch told me specifically, point blank, that if I resigned he could then talk about the substance of the memos," Miranda tells Insight. "I was told by the Frist office that, if I resigned, the Democrats would basically calm down" and the Republicans could make the memos public. Miranda said the same promises were made to conservative groups that assist the Republicans in gaining support for judicial nominees.(snip)

The whistleblower(s) will probably be fired by 'MRs' Frist and Hatch(RINOs in mho) before any justice for Mr. Berger.

I would 'feel' a lot better if someone in the Clinton administration, or anyone on the left were charged and sentenced for their misdeed!!! .

You bet Hastert knows what the answers are. He is rewarded by the White House which is allowing him to be the front man on this for the Republicans because of the great job he has done pushing the President's agenda. Meanwhile the senators are stuck sounding like mush-mouthed weaklings on this huge story.

What's dawning on us is that they are. Apparently Berger didn't know that, and took them.. and replacement copies were taken again. Something to that effect. (in other words, BUSTED)

What did W do to Kerrey during his interview. I don't remember stories of him taunting Mr. "I have a previous engagement".

Well, you would think so - but I'm not holding my breath waiting to hear from them.

How can Berger be that stupid to take a particular document once, then return at a later date, see the same document and take it again? Didn't he realize that the presence of a duplicate meant that an original existed somewhere?

Did he take that many things that he lost track of what he had taken earlier? What a doofus.

Why is this coming out now?

Strategery. Do not misunderestimate! :-)

You betcha....

Just in time to break the news as the Dimwits prepare for their convention - they'll have to cope with this (hopefully) firestorm when they would rather be bashing Bush and talking about their platform (yeah, yeah, it's redundant, their platform is Bash Bush and nothing else, but still)....

It's not the theft, it's the coverup.

Was bergler acting on a kerry directive ?

Did the kerry directive to bergler mention stuffing socks ?

Did the clinton directive to bergler mention the proper function of a zipper in a federal facility ?

Total!

I can't answer your question. It's just too funny. I'm sure Sandy doesn't think it's funny today, but it's so bumbling. He also had to believe that no one was noticing what he was doing.. over and over again. This is the former NSA! He's absolutely well versed in how classified docs are handled. Come ON, Sandy!

Hey, has his classified clearance been yanked yet?

Berger will undoubtedly do prison time.

I wish that were true but the corruption in Washington is such that each is protected by the others transgressions. I will be surprised to see it.

I can't find the story now, but when Kerrey got up to leave W asked him some pointed sarcastic question. (Kerrey even acknowledged it in various interview without saying much). I am sorry I can't remember what he said, but at the time a lot of people thought W's comments were in response to Kerrey's appearance on the Daily show earlier that week.

I think it is take, then edit, then return edit, and repeat process until Hillary is satisfied.

"We caught the bastard and set him up so deep that he had to admit guilt. Now Burger will get an opportunity to sing like a bird or spend the next 10 years in Prison.

Someday, someone on this board is going to have to accept that the Bush folks know what they are doing. If I was Sandy Burger, I would be right now begging to be put in Witness Protection."

Bingo. Go directly to the head of the class. Give them lots of lead, let them go unchallenged, then, when they are overextended, snap their necks back. They are disgraced and the media is taken down for facilitating their lies.
Two birds, one stone.

And guess what? It was never about Iraq. It was always about Islamic terrorism. You want to take out Iran without fireing a shot? First you destroy the only real army in the region, Iraq. Now it's half a dozen birds with one stone.
Don't worry about Bush, he knows exactly what he is doing.
