"So far, the upshot is that some 12,000 innocent Iraqi women, men and children have been killed, maimed, burned and evaporated.."

Ping me when it hits a million.

hmmm Jaxter -
somehow this reply is representative of a lot of responses here. It is of a deeply sociopathic (see DSM-IV for this) nature, and says so much, because it is beyond mere cynicism. I probably would aggravate your extreme fear and aggression if I would explain that Islamic culture preserved the sciences, the arts, and ancient philosophy and literature when the western world was a middle-ages madhouse and America was only populated with its Indian people. But I won't infuriate you. You might harm yourself.
When I reread my posts I see absolutely no whining. It's a mix of fact and opinion.
Of course I am not a troll. Funny that this site has a definition of the term entirely different from all other websites, but presumably that is unavoidable when dissenting opinions are unwelcome.
As for the 'evaporation' term: that one is very common with people whose unenviable task it is to count bodies and do identification jobs. People who die as a result of, say, the US 'Daisy Cutter' bombs do not stand much of a chance of having any of their even minutest body parts found after their horrific death. But you guys probably see such weapons as America's gift to the world nowadays.
As for his Presidency, Dubya dug his own grave with the attack on Iraq. And I welcome that.
Good heavens, is there no single American here who can see that Al Qaeda could start its operations from within Iraq AS A RESULT of that war? The citizens of Madrid experienced what the regime change meant for them firsthand.
Keep the debate going, though. It's a highly interesting forum for me.
