"There was no hightend State of Alert that Night Ressam was caught at the WA/CAN Ferry Check Point, Just one smart and Well Trained Lady Agent."
yep..the dems wanted a 9/11 commission....and no matter how hard they tried to corrupt the findings through their pals on the commission (including two that should be part of the investigation intead of guiding it)...it still shows what we all already knew...
The Clinton administration took no meaningfull action to stop terrorism.

So Bush is supposed to know what is going on with some enlisteds and a few non-coms a half a world away when Kerry doesn't even know what is going on under his stinking nose? Makes perfectly good sense to me. (Heavy sarcasm off)
To: Howlin
OK, I when you told me to watch the rerun, I thought that somehow all my clocks had gone haywire or something! LOL!

Whenever that Kerry/Brokaw interview was taped, it was right after a Botox treatment.

It seems some of the Kerry campaign folks and dem party goons are going to start using.... "if the archives people saw him do it...then it's their fault because they did not stop him...That is EXACTLY how I interpreted Keith Olberman's smirking "if they saw him, why didn't they stop him" question a bit ago.

Love your live threads, but I have no plans to watch this thing when it comes on. Will read notes later, though.

While we're waiting:
By John McCaslin
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
Published July 21, 2004
Bush 1, Kerry 0 Louise R. Kilcullen knew the end was near, so the 86-year-old Alexandria woman, who died last Wednesday, made sure she voted by absentee ballot in the 2004 presidential election (we have it on good authority she cast her vote for President
George W. Bush).
"She was kidding around ... in the hospital that she wouldn't be around on November 2, and she wanted to make sure she voted before she died," the Rev.
Dennis Kleinmann, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Old Town Alexandria, tells Inside the Beltway.
"I'm not sure about the [voting] guidelines if a person dies before [Election Day], but she did vote," the priest reveals.
We also have it on good authority that Mrs. Kilcullen -- a widow and loving mother of four children, seven grand-children and four great-grandchildren -- requested that a "Bush-Cheney 2004" bumper sticker be attached to her coffin during her funeral services.
"It did not happen in church," stresses Father Kleinmann, forbidding church and state to merge to such a degree in the hallowed sanctuary of Virginia's oldest Catholic church.
"However," the priest confirms, "when the coffin was pulled from the hearse at the cemetery and carried to the burial space, it did have a Bush bumper sticker on it."
In fact, the amused Father Kleinmann tells us, the bumper sticker was glued to the end of the casket where he stood to recite the burial rites -- "staring me in the face," he laughs. "She was buried with the bumper sticker."
Federal Election Commission spokesman
Ian Stirton says the case of Mrs. Kilcullen is indeed "an unusual one," and seemed relieved that the FEC has no say in such matters.
We'll similarly leave it to a higher authority.

Gergen has apparently been bought or frightened many years ago.
If he was bought, I wonder how much someone thought he was worth? Or, {FBI files?} wonder how dirty is he?
I can't watch him...it's embarrassing. So I read instead of listening anymore.
Thank you all for keeping me up to date!

This is so silly.
Just take any accident and call a commission to investigate.
He/She could have left 10 minutes earlier.
Taken a diffrent route.
Watched for traffic closer coming from both sides, even though he/she had a green light.
Stayed at home all day.
Not make that cellphone call.
Hindsight is 20/20 ... and we will always be able to identify things that could have prevented anything.
The dumbing down of America is working.

I'm confused. Isn't this a live thread for a Hardball show that has yet to be run at 9:00 Eastern? Not only that, it's live thread for a show that Matthews is going to have which will cover matters in the 911 report that will not be released for several more hours.
Ya just gotta love it!

"But to me, it looks like the security people WERE doing their jobs according to the rules they had back then.
Am I wrong?"
Your right as far as I can tell. Fox News on the hourly update was talking about the video and they mentioned how what the terrorist used as weapons were not illegal at the time. Had that guard stopped them....the pc foreign brigade would be screaming racism.
To: Howlin
what tremendous foresight she had to do the absentee ballot!! i am so impressed! you know i can't stomach Chrissie, so i won't be watching that bilge tonight....

Kerry: I didn't have a clue.Wait a minute. So, Dubya was supposed to know what 7 soldiers (out of 130,000) were doing one night 5,000 miles away, but Kerry don't know that his foreign policy advisor was under investigation for stealing documents from the national archives? Isn't he on the intelligence committee?

This reminds me of the story during the 2000 campaign. Remember "In Lieu of Flowers"? It was an obit that ran in the paper in which the family requested in lieu of flowers that people simply VOTE BUSH!
To: Howlin
I would LOVE to have the exact quotes and cites for the "chain of command" and "on top of things" quotes. Together with the Brokaw interview you just posted and with Clinton's admission that HE'S known about the investigation for months, I could have some fun with some lefties on another forum.
