As trash hits streets, mail boxes next to go (DNC security)

About two dozen mail collection boxes will become the latest casualties in the DNC security war when the post office uproots them tomorrow from their posts around the FleetCenter.

``For security,'' said postal service spokesman Bob Cannon. ``They'll stay off the street until the 31st.''

Boxes in 10 different spots will be removed. They are usually heavily used, enough to warrant three pickups a day.

I just find this amusing, although I can see the security point. This the locals will have anything left by Sunday? Conversely, it'll be interesting to see if the RNC does anything similar in NYC.

In NYC, the main RNC operations site is IN the main Manhattan Post Office.

Does anyone watch them? I've seen parts, and they are just so boring.

Another article at the Herald taked about protesters suing for access to the DNC, and hoped it was some FReep Op, but alas, it's the super-Lefties protesting the war.
