Being covered on all networks in our area.

Just checked and same here, except NBC bowed out so Russert could tell Brokaw about a widow from 9/11 "pleading" this morning, asking why John Kerry and George Bush can't stop campaigning for "just one day" and come together to agree on 3 or 4 changes that should be implemented.

What the HELL is he smoking. Kerry can't even be bothered to show up in the Senate or take briefings on these matters.

Beam me up.

I see Fox is done with this crew. They're talking about it, but have stopped covering the bloviating.

I hate they way everything this commission says is treated with such reverance. As if we've all been waiting with bated breath for their "final" report. Like they're such experts who are going to solve all of our problems. I couldn't care less what they have to say. All I care about is that the President continues fighting off the likes of those who attacked in the first place. That should be the last word.

Anyone listening on NBC?

I just changed channels due to ABC local going to commercials.

I thought I heard Lisa Meyers say that the terrorists (rather than the passengers) 'decided to take the plane [93] down."

I didn't not hear her previous remarks. What led her to that conclusion?

I'll suppress my urge to use 10 foot tall font ... "engage with the Muslim community"????? I happened to catch part of that Will Smith movie last night ... Armageddon? anyway, they are talking with the captured alien and the prez asks it "what do you want us to do?" and gets the response "we want you to die". That encapsulates the dialog we will receive from the Islamists.

"OMG, they're outlining Dubya's policies that have been in place all along as though they thought of it!"

Isn't that typical for Washington ? The dems on that panel are especially adept at that.

Your cynicism is shared by others. Not me.

the announcement that these commission members will not participate in presidential elections is significant. It signals to both parties that this Report must not be polliticized. It's far too important.

I agree with what you said up the thread; I'm just tired of all of them taking this to politics, instead of not worrying about how they looked and what they are going to get out of it.

Going on tour? Come on.

This report is just as partisan as Michael Moore's film. The whole commission was compromised by Sandy Berger's theft of highly classified documents. Berger's heist of these documents is far worse than the Nixon Break in - Watergate. It was a breach of security like nothing we've seen to date. Berger committed a federal crime and must be tried for it. Don't let the "report" wipe his crime of theft from the archives get lost in this silly report - Berger's crime is front page news and should stay there until that man is brought before a court of law.

The democrats would rather everyone weep and moan over the Abu Ghraib than take a really close look at what Berger did - Berger went to the Archives 5 times and lifted National Security documents classified more highly than our Nuclear secretes - what were those documents and how did they implicate the Clinton Administration? Call your elected and demand that Berger be charged with theft of National Security Documents, he should not be able to be swept under the table - just pretend this was a Republican and get to work! To heck with this 9/11 Report. E-mail Fox News and tell them to get back to the Sandy Berger crimes!

Fox reporting that after they got the report this morning, people at the WH started pointing out the commission recognizes the wisdom of several of the steps the WH has already taken.

Neil had some of it on our local talk station. I do not have the tv on. Who wants to watch that when I can be on FR. Oh! Our grandson and his friend got home last night from Scotland. He said he took lots of pictures for us to see. Forgot to ask him if he looked for a castle which belongs to a branch of our family. It would have been neat but teen age boys have more important things to do.

I had to switch to CNN (gag).

The unfortunate thing is that this Commission may have some good recommendations but so politicized the hearings and now the book that the administration and others may well disregard everything they recommend.

Yes we must provide the Muslim youth another avenue for their lives....

Well, the 9-11 Circus must be positiviely DELIGHTED with President Bush leading a coalition into Iraq and toppling a dictator which can give democracy a chance to grow in the ME, then right? Isn't that doing precisely what they are calling for, giving Muslim youth avenues other than murder and terrorism to choose from?

There was a report that speculated that the terrorists crashed the plane intentionally because the passengers were breaking down the door.

Either way, it was heroism by the passengers that broght the plane down. But many leftists, in the media and out, are loath to give too much credit to the passengers. It shows too much individual effort and heroism, and detracts from the constant drumbeat that the citizens should rely solely on the government for their safety.
