MAYBE WE SHOULD AVOID NORTHWEST AIR.
TOO POLITICALLY CORRECT AND DISCRIMINATORY AGAINST AMERICANS

Unfortunately for those of us who live in the Detroit area, Detroit Metro Airport is a Northwest hub and they own virtually all of the gates.
The best alternative is Bishop Int. Airport in Flint, served by Air Tran Airways, which seems to me more efficient (and cheaper) than Northwest.
