No Big Deal if G.W. Bush Loses the Election to Kerry
self ^ | 7/23/04 | self

Sorry about the title folks, I thought that would get some attention.

I was on a thread this morning: RICH: 'MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE' MORE PARTISAN THAN 'FAHRENHEIT 911'. It explained that this movie being brought out by the lefty/socialist/Democrat Hollywood may have even a greater negative influence on the election than Moore's pile of lies.

It is obvious to all of us that this effort to beat our President George Bush and ruin the direction of conservatism by the lefty institutions in this country has never been so diligent and so focused. The mainstream news media has become so blatantly left leaning that nearly every day I really have the impulse to strangle one (or more) of them.

Last night for example Chrissie 'Softball' Matthews had the arrogance and hutzpah to shove that famous and sleazy bricklayer, Jamie Gorelick, in our faces immediately after the 9/11 Report came out. Each day now we can see the relentless effort of the mainstream liars to ignore Sandy Berger's disgusting and unforgivable thefts!

All of us are alarmed at the power of the influential media on most voters, I am very worried. I am worried because most Americans are too busy, too disinterested, or just too damn ignorant to get to know the truth of real news events. So there is a genuine fear that the media and the other lefty influential institutions will be successful in winning this election for the lowly opportunist, John Kerry.

But, here may be how we can win this election with honesty and hard work. We will have to go around the media. It will take all our efforts, each day until November. Each of us has to do this. See what you think.

This is what I wrote on that thread this morning

The brainwashing by the media/entertainment business is never-ending. I don't believe the American people are smart or interested enough to see through it. Bush and the country are in deep trouble. But I think I have a way to win this election, but I must go work now. I'll start a thread later on this. Let me just say this now.

I ran into a landscaper Monday who buys my plant products. We started talking about the election. I started the conversation. He's a smart enough guy, but he's got that "Bush is in the pocket of big business, Republicans are evil" bull in his head. But I persisted. I asked him what he was interested in. He mentioned "a fear of bombings" in our country. I brought up OKC! Then I asked him to look up Jayna Davis on his computer. He was a somewhat curious guy so he said he would. He drove away, and yesterday he called me back and was amazed at what he learned (about OKC). To make a long story short, this guy was a sure Dem. voter in November, he had said so, now he's amazed at what he's learning and had never known. He's asking for more to see. I turned him onto Kerry's activities with VVAW. He's now seriously thinking of voting for Bush. He hates commies. Now he's beginning to realize the commie is Kerry.

ALL of us must find those 'on the fence voters' who we know, find their interests, then give them something to look up and learn about THAT interest.

It works, and if we want to have a chance to beat this sick media/entertainment onslaught, we must individually find these people and make an effort to influence them before November.

It works, but we all have to do it..... or we lose.

You have something in common with Victor David Hanson at NRO Online. Look at this excerpt from today's column that is spot on:

"What does it all mean and where does it all lead? Roughly 20 percent of the public hates George Bush and wants us to leave Iraq — no matter what the president says or does. These one in five Americans won't let up, and believe every lie of Michael Moore in the same way they insist Alger Hiss was innocent, Edward Said never invented his past, and Joe Wilson is a principled critic rather than a discredited impostor.

On the other hand, another 30-some percent [that would be us] is convinced that Iraq was absolutely necessary, that the war was conducted brilliantly, that George Bush is an unusually resolute wartime president, and that the media's gloom does not represent the true status of the reconstruction, which, tragedies and all, is working and already having powerful and positive effects on the region."

But the majority? The great 50 percent of the citizenry is fickle, without a consistent ideology. It wants success, but only if it is relatively painless, and thus is now in a dilemma as to what constitutes "painless."

So the United States, and indeed the world, is an audience at a great match of terrorism versus civilization. Our collective heads sway back and forth, now convinced that relative quiet is proof of our wisdom, now dejected that suicide bombs prove we were naïve, if not worse, in taking out Saddam. And we haven't even come to the summer's political conventions, the elections in Afghanistan, the Olympics, and our own November voting. Without historical perspective, thousands of pundits and politicians maneuver every 24-hours to "prove" that their shifting and contradictory positions, like millions of the American people's own rising and falling spirits, are in fact really consistent and principled. But mostly they are all just confused about Iraq and not sure whether we are emerging from a few skirmishes with a few weeks left to the armistice or firing away on Guadalcanal with three more years of mayhem to go. [these include the spine less republicans that Retired Army speaks of]

This thread posted yesterday sums up my frustration at the power of the mainstream media. I call them the same as Rush does: The-Liberal-Partisan-Democratic-Party-Media-Outlets. Those include ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and PBS. I can't list all the newspapers of record...

---but Don't Believe, for a Second, that the American Public will miss the "Hillary" resemblance.

VERY FEW of the "Voting American Public" Believe ANYTHING They were told by the Clintons.

Hillary's Existence as a US Senator Persists due to "Voter Sentimentality."

Her Chances of being "President" are "NIL!"

"I totally agree with the fact that the left media and Hollywood is brainwashing the American public. I hear young people all the time telling me 911 Farehneit has convinced them who to vote for."

Rest easy, I work with lots of old folks here in Florida, and they pretty much can't stand "that KERRY". They think he's a sneak and don't like the fact that he's from Massachusettes where "that KENNEDY is from".

I think we're fine. W will be pouring it on here soon. And old CHENEY is a wiley fox that the opposition will never really figure out.

Good point. Once the blue areas are turned into smoking ruins by the terrorists, the terrorists are at the mercy of residents of the blue areas, who don't waste their mercy upon the merciless.

Like the guy said to his wife as he aimed his 44 Magnum at his head: "Don't laugh, you're next."

I hear young people all the time telling me 911 Farehneit has convinced them who to vote for. They have no clue about conservative issues and the damage the left can do.

They're not alone. Most people have no idea what damage either party can do to one's liberty. That's the rub. We've yet to field candidates who will put individual liberties ahead of special interests, ahead of trial lawyers' interests, ahead of corporate interests, and ahead of UN interests.

Most of our elected senators and representatives sworn to protect and defend the constitution wouldn't recognize it if it were printed on congressional toilet paper.

Bush & company come closest to representing individuals via the Bill of Rights but still leave much to desire. Put another way, if you're a gay wanting to marry, your chances of getting a fair hearing far exceed that of the sorry b*stard carrying concealed on his way to work with a tail-light out.

I agree but....... "wake up" and DO WHAT? What can be done?

First of all we have to quit calling them innocent names like liberals or leftists. I call them what they are Socialists and in some cases Communists. As an example, Michael Moore, for one, is an outspoken radical Communist. His long term goal and purpose is to disrupt our Democracy, romanticize Socialism and confuse the population with lies. He is working with a well organized and financed group that has thrived in Hollywood ever since McCarthy was silenced. He should be charged with, and convicted of treason and we as citizens should not be ashamed to ask for it. I assure you that the younger generation has learned more from Michael Moore than they have their socialist educated teachers. Our children are basically illiterate when it comes to American History or the Constitution and it is intentional. We must be vigilant within our own families, not afraid to speak out, be well informed and start putting patriotism first. It has to be a priority or all is lost.

And the worst thing is, the people are fat, they have their TV, their porn, their movies, and all sorts of other diversions.... so there are no revolts or revolutions in the future to cleanse the place.

They have their politicians to give them whatever they whine for, especially if it involves other people's money or property. The politician racket is just another diversion funded by us, used to divert our attention from the creeping socialism and removal of morality from culture.

The good news is the government is completely bankrupt and the circuses will have to be cut back. It will get very ugly, but those cuts will only help in the long run.

You are exactly right. I talk to people in the grocery line, in line at the bank (they have the TV cable stations on), whenever and wherever I can. TALK TO PEOPLE. Most don't have a clue. We have to WORK for GW and this election.

This is a great idea, but unfortunately most families aren't families (fathers missing, mothers not adequate mothers), and most "families" don't feel the urgency that you properly do. And you mention calling liberals what they are.... socialists and communists. Those words are true, but what good does it do. Most people who hear you say that will think you're a "mean spirited Republican".

The suggestions you make are right minded, but I fear, from being a near 60 year old goon who has been around, that most families do not have the structure, the will, or the direction to emphasize the important things, and ignorance is rushing over America like water over a waterfall. And it all goes back to the communist/socialist indoctrination in the schools!

I pray you are right, and I save my prayers for important things.

Speaking of pouring, I hope we're pouring the champagne about 2:00 a.m. Nov.3rd morning.

And Cheney - I can't wait for his debate with John Edwards (The political equivalent of breast implants). Cheney will roll over him.

Again I pray that you are right, but America is becoming less informed and more propagandized by the day, and I see it all over the place.

I have a small business and talk politics with as many of my customers as I can (sometimes chancing the possibility of losing a few of them). I am constantly amazed at how politically uninformed many are whom you would, under other circumstances, call relatively smart.

I heard from a friend of mine, in a very outraged tone of voice, that Meryl Streps used Hillary Clinton as the model for her character and that she "simply thought it was outrageous that a fine person (gag!) like Senator Clinton should be portrayed as such an evil person!!

I had to excuse myself so that I wouldn't laugh in her face and get her even angrier. Oh well, some people...

. . . I really have the impulse to strangle one (or more) of them.

Calm down!

A few years ago an obviously racist NY City Councilman said he got so angry sometimes he just wanted to slap the nearest white person. He was rightfully condemned on this forum and other places.

I hear you. I've seen the guy. Here's the scam.

"I want to go up to the closest white person and say: 'You can't understand this, it's a black thing' and then slap him, just for my mental health -- Charles Barron, a New York city councilman at a reparations rally, 2002"

I understand your words but your comparison is extremely foolish, not at all up to your usual HIGH standards.

Barron wants to slap a white man because someone doesn't understand him, on the other hand, I feel like strangling Dan Rather, etc.(which I'd never actually do) because these media flunkies are consciously destroying the "free press" of this nation with their continual lies and distortions of events.

Lead, you're waaaaaaaaaay off this time, old boy.

Hold the sanctimony for someone else please. This is way to important for the thought police.

No 'thought police' here. It's one thing to think it. It's another thing to print or say it. If he was wrong - so are you.
