Bump Lists to Become Keywords

[history]
I'm going to convert bump lists to keywords and discontinue that form of addressing. This will only affect you if you know what a bump list is. Thank you.
Update #1 within the hour pings to bump lists will fail to register. Tick tock...
Update #2 to add an article to the bump lists--which are now keywords--use the "Click to add keyword" link that lists below the text of each article. Enter the name of the bump list without spaces.
A list of those names can be found on the old bump list register.
Update #2.5 Oh, and, for better or worse, keywords are now global across all forums. For example, yesterday the moose keyword would have a different list of articles depending on which forum you were in--utter chaos. Today, moose lists all articles across all forums.
TOPICS: Free Republic

Please, pleeeease tell me those are two real-live men! I truly hope they were photoshopped (or whatever it is that doctors photos).
If, perchance, they are (or were) actual lads, I hope they chose not to have offspring...and pass along those, er, unusual faces.

Eventually, one might wish for a page or three explaining PING lists VS BUMP/KEYWORD lists/FORUM lists somewhere on the home page or site map page or some such. Good idea!
I wish there were a link on the page one posts a reply or a thread on with all the HTML tags for ready reference. Many of us are HTML-challenged.
I'm off work today and have been taking some time to explore some things on Free Republic other than latest posts.
I have no idea what the difference is between a ping and a bump, although I have gotten pinged many times because I've subscribed to ping topics. But I don't know anything about bump.
I better stop now - this is starting to sound pornagraphic and I'm getting lost.

I'm not sure what BUMP means....exactly. I see it posted all the time but it never "bumps" anywhere. The top or anywhere else.Don't feel bad - I've never bumped successfully either.

Font fix.
The good old days.
To: 3catsanadog
On BUMP issue, this is what I got from PAR35
Over on the right hand side, if you select 'Messages' instead of 'Threads' you will see the latest posts for all threads. A 'Bump' will appear at the top of that list until the next posting, and folks might spot a now-buried thread. In the old days, before sidebars and topics (and all of John's other masterful work), it would be the only way to spot an important, but older thread.

Things are starting to get ugly around here. :)
