BOSTON -- Homosexual Democrats think that, although Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry supports civil unions over same-sex "marriage," he will take their issues even further once he's in the White House.
President Clinton "was terrific" on homosexual issues for his time, Mary McCarthy, 65, said yesterday at a "dump Bush" tea party sponsored by the Bay State Stonewall Democrats, National Stonewall Democrats and Democratic National Committee (DNC).
Mr. Kerry "will be an ever stronger leader for equality," said Ms. McCarthy, adding on Saturday that she will be "marrying" her longtime partner and Massachusetts Democratic delegate, Bonnie Winofer.
Ms. Winofer, a retired schoolteacher, said Mr. Kerry's support for civil unions instead of homosexual "marriage" is understandable.
"We have to take baby steps," she said. "John Kerry has always been so pro our issues," she said, recalling how in 1996, the Massachusetts Democrat voted against the Defense of Marriage Act, which defined marriage as the union of a man and a woman in federal law.
It doesn't matter that Mr. Kerry and running mate Sen. John Edwards "aren't there yet" on homosexual "marriage," Ms. Winofer added, "because they're better than Bush."

"We still have a fight on our hands," said Rep. Barney Frank, a Massachusetts Democrat who is openly homosexual. Homophobia and the people who exploit it politically have not gone away, "but they sure as hell are on the way out," he said. "The Democratic Party has become the best vehicle" for homosexual rights, Mr. Frank added.

Our country is so sick these days...Like Sodom and Rome etc. Our fate is the same. I was checking out a message board on AOL and some Libs there are calling for civil war. I can't believe they want to take it that far just so they can kill as many babies as they want, screw whoever or whatever they want, take as many mind altering drugs as they want and so on. Scary stuff.
It's based on hatred towards God. Plain and simple. It's not even Christianity based. All religion. That's why liberals hate Bush with slavering irrational rage. Because he's a man of faith. I do believe it's going to get worse before (if) it gets better. Those who have conviction that God exists and religion - and being really human - means following His rules, better get some spines and courage. We're going to need it.
(BTW, I'm not really including the vast majority of Muslims in religion since most of them never accept their faith voluntarily, it's either against the law to NOT be a Muslim in their country, or their ancestors were "converted" by force.)
The thing that is so incredible is that the dims seek out these endorsements and when the endorsements like these come pouring in, they're proud, like it's a badge of honor.
