However, if I state that "Hodar's filling station is 2 miles past Walt DisneyWorld on Highway 5", this would not be actionable.

OK so you are willing to state that Disney has never sued a non-commercial entity for using their name, right?

No --- they don't need to ask individual guests their sexual orientation or religion or anything --- but when a group plans on some kind of event then why not allow people to see which groups have reservations --- If I don't want my young sons standing behind the couple pictured in post 86 waiting to get on the roller coaster, then I could choose a different day.

I've made the mistake of taking my kids to an amusement park on the same day as the girl scouts --- the problem with that was the lines were extremely long and the park was very crowded --- if I had known such a big group would be there, I would have chosen another day.

But if it's being advertised as "Gay Day" by a gay group, then even without kids, if I don't want to be there on Gay Day, I should have that information.

My pleasure. :^)

Yep. I lived in Arlington in the early 70's and then the early 80's. I went to UT-Arlington for 2 years, dropped out and went back to finish up my degree.

Arlington is a big College town and Tourist attraction with Six Flags, Wet n Wild and the Texas Rangers, etc.

How would you respond if you were asked at the gate the following questions: Are you homosexual? Are you sexually attracted to young children? What religion best describes your background? Did you bring your domestic partner? and so on, and so forth.

Honestly I'd have no trouble answering any of those questions --- and maybe some --- like the second would be good to ask in a place that is meant to attract a lot of children. And like I said before, maybe certain religious groups' days --- even certain Christian groups days might make me prefer to wait for the next day --- like if you knew certain groups would be there passing out Biblical passages or trying to save you, you'd rather wait for another time.

I think if Roy Disney had actually taken a specific pro-family, anti-homosexual-embrace stand, he would've gotten Eisner voted out. He danced all around the issue but never would come out and say it.

We're desperately in need of leaders to stand up and say, "I don't care how politically incorrect I am; this behavior is immoral, perverted, and our company would prefer to have zero involvement with it."

No national-level business leader has the nerve to do that, but if one would, I think that company would reap huge rewards as a result.

I wonder if they might be well-advised to post a sign at the ticket sales counters that there is a NON-Six Flags sponsored "Gay Day" September 18th and that way ticket buyers could THEN decide whether to go in or not.

This would simply end up in either instigating a conflict (anti-gay activists would descend upon Six Flags to create problems) or would result in lost revenue. Neither would be to the advantage of Six Flags (or any other park, company or establishment). The old adage "Let the buyer beware" seems to fit nicely here.

I have provided you 3 scenarios; and tire of attempting to read your mind. How would (Disney, Six Flags, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Magic Mountain, et. al.) be able to sue, if they were named as the recipient of a group's gathering place? Can you cite a single example?

If 'The Hillary Rodham-Clinton fan club' wanted to use your resturant, hotel, theme-park, zoo or city park as a meeting grounds; you are prohibited by law from preventing them to do so.

However, as this is YOUR park (as in Sea World, Disney, 6 Flags, MM, et. al.), YOU can place limits on what is tolerated and what is not. For example, if you state that you have dress codes for EVERYONE, you may enforce that. Same thing for permissable behavior. Also, to the best of my knowledge, local laws would also be enforced (lewd or profane conduct would not be tolerated).

For example, there are signs at both Disney Land, and Disney World warning that pranity will not be tolerated. You can be ejected from the park for swearing.

Because no groups have reservations. Any group can just decided to show up at an amusment park.

Honestly I'd have no trouble answering any of those questions

This is where we disagree. It's none of their business what religion, race, creed or national background I come from. They may ask me how I intend to pay for tickets (Visa, travellers check, or cash); but that's it.

Regarding being evangilized, having pamplets passed out, ectera; there are posted signs throughout the park warning that such behavior is considered grounds for immediate ejection from the park without a refund. I have personally witnessed a gentlemen referring to his 'nigga's and thier Ho's get a single warning. He told the attendant to F.O. And his entire group (they were abusive, and foolishly chose to support the profanity used by their member) got escorted out. You'd be amazed how quickly a dozen Disney security men can materialize in 15 seconds. This was at Splash Mountain, at DisneyWorld. I enjoyed watching this immensely.

Finally, an idea that I can get behind. The lewdness statutes should absolutely be enforced, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to increase security during this event since Six Flags has been made aware of the increased gay presence.

A refreshing post amongst a sea of nonsense.

Disney is guilty because the give the "gay" tour opperators perks and discounts to facilitate the "gathering". There is no "just happened" to be there any more than choosing the week school lets out a coincidence.

Nor a broward school teacher selecting to send students to their annual school trip to disney on the same weekend. (the trip was cancelled.) Yes the teacher was a homosexual.

C'mon. Be a man. Say "Yes Hank. Disney can't sue someone for using their name to promote their event". You can do it.

My guess is that you KNOW they can and you don't want to admit it. Disney has sued lots of people for using their name without permission.

Disney is its own municipality. literally and legally its own city.

They still have to enforce the laws and the county sherriffs also have the ability to enforce laws.

Disney has sued lots of people for using their name without permission.

Do you have any sources? Or am I supposed to take your word for it?

Disney has sued day-care centers for using unauthorized Disney trademarks (Mickey Mouse and Goofy). This is because if Disney fails to uphold their trademark, they relenquish that trademark forever.

However, if you say or imply that Disney is sponsoring, backing or promoting YOUR event; then you have violated the law. The gay groups realize this, thus the phrasing used for Disney Gay Days is carefully worded, and checked out by both the Disney legal department, as well as the individual groups.

For example, I can say "The Arlington, South Dakota class reunion of 1979 will be held at Walt Disney World. Come join us for 'Cardinal Days' at Walt Disney World ...."

However, I cannot say "Walt DisneyWorld is proud to announce 'Cardinal Days' on (date) for the Arlington, South Dakota High School class of 1979.

There's a big difference, so please provide an example to what you are referring to. One method says a group is meeting somewhere, the other method implies that the park is sponsoring, promoting or supporting.

Dear Homosexual Agenda pinglist people, (I am posting this on a thread because the freepmail won't take the pinglist as a name, for some reason.)

My computer is on its way out, and it may take me a while to get either it or a different one up and running. I appreciate all of you, will miss FR since I won't be on it much for a while. I can check at the library several times a week, so I'll still be within range of communication.

ItsOurTimeNow has gallantly volunteered to take over the pinglist for now. So if any of you find relevant articles, alert him! He'll need assistance (well, probably not NEED) but I'm sure he will appreciate your presence on the threads. There have been a lot of homosexual supporters lately, either trolls or "liberaltarians" or who knows what. They need beating down with logic, reason, and a stout heart.

Keep the faith! See you soon,
little jeremiah

I didn't say ask individuals anything --- but maybe when groups are having "their day" then let that be publicized. There could be more than one reason for wanting to avoid an amusement park when certain groups are going to be there --- one reason could be that it's going to be a very large group and you'd figure lines would be longer than usual.

It's not like they're just deciding at the last minute to head on over to the amusement park --- and they're advertising the even so it seems that the park could notify families that September 18 is less than a family day at the park:

September 18 is the 9th Annual Gay Day at Six Flags Over Texas. This event has taken place for the last 8 years in a row and this is the 9th year.

Here groups can reserve picnic areas in amusement parks and other similar things --- that way they have their meeting area pre-arranged --- maybe this isn't quite the same but it sounds like it might be.
