I've seen a few articles and topics posted lately that seem to have a 'divde and conquer' strategery.
As long as we keep focused on the common goal we'll prevail.
Stealing and taking a little creative license with a line from 'No Time For Sergeants': "FreeRepublic is the best danged site on the whole danged internet."

Can't we all just get along?I'll have a Long Island iced tea.
Isn't that what Rodney said?

onyx, I hate to sound paranoid, but I'd rather not say. I will tip off that it's somewhere in Missouri, and it's not a race for senator.

No, I just came out of an FRN meeting where I realized I was fighting battles that are a waste of effort that would be better utilized at the real enemy.

We've played the personality cult game for three years, time to turn our attention to the task at hand, and to the true enemy.
This election is big, I think that it's only the fourth time that we've elected a war time president.
Time to get the job done so that we can bicker again after we've won.

BTW, you're right. The liberals are driving me crazy the closer we get to the election. I went off on Lance Armstrong and Dubya earlier and for what? I'm on the edge.
I'm watching Clinton right now on TV... he hasn't changed one bit and he won't go away! What a classless jackass...he just quoted scripture. ARRRRRRFGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!
To: The Libertarian Dude
OK.
I can't vote for you. :(

WOW! You do go back a ways... I originally signed up, and was like number seven thousand something, but my email address changed so I re-enlisted.
And it does seem to be true that discussions in the old days were more civil. Points of fact were debated, and early documents were quoted often.
There seems to be much more of a single-issue orientation lately, abortion threads, WOD threads, etc, etc.
The entire philosophy of our government is that government is a servant of the people, not their masters.
Simple ideas like that get swept under the rug over and over.
