One caveat: the phrase "mystic chords of [national] memory" is from Abraham Lincoln's first inaugural address and should not be derided as mysticism.


I could not listen to her speech, since I was still ill from trying to listen to yesterday's demconven antics, so I have one question: Did she credit President Lincoln for the quote? (I assume she did not)

Intersting that you refer to Lincoln. I think there are many parallels between this election and the election of 1864. There is something very McClellanesque about Kerry.
