Actress Natalie Portman, sporting a yellow T-shirt featuring a John Kerry photo with the "That 70s Show" font, praised Kerry as having "the perfect combination of compassion, intelligence, and composure. I'm a huge fan."

I had to turn Letterman off last night. Natalie was on bashing Bush. She says she was a big Kerry supporter, voted for Gore in 2000, and attented get-out-the-vote events up in Boston.

I tuned into Letterman as Portman was giggling at Bush, saying since Bush likes vacation so much (another Moore distortion), it will be good if he loses in November. That way he'll be on vacation all the time. (I'm going from tired memory.)

Dave looked down at his desk and a few in the audience gave nervous laughs. The subject was then changed.

I heard she was a smart girl; I was surprised how giggly and adolescent she seemed.
