The little Hampster was never quite right after that? That life saving chest pounding that daddy performed might not have been life saving. I'm betting that Kerry hated the thing, excited the dog and the events all fell into some logical order. A hampster in a cage has no business being on a dock in the sunlight, going fishing.

Amazing how a small story from Kerry's daughter turns into a funny kerry poster. Did you create it?

Here a good joke relating to your tag line.

I was listening to either Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity yesterday and they played the snippet of the hamster anecdote, then commented, "I'm sure Ted Kennedy would have done the same thing." Only the liberals can tout John Kerry saving a hamster from drowning as qualification for public office, while insisting that Ted Kennedy leaving a woman to drown does nothing to disqualify him for public office.

I have been having a hard time with this hamster story, because about 7 years ago, on the scene of a house fire (I'm a paramedic), I had to resuscitate some little baby hamsters and a momma hamster.

A little girl brought her cage over to me that the firemen had handed her out of the blaze. She was crying and asked me if I could save her hamsters.

They were unconscious from smoke inhalation, so I made an oxygen tent over the cage and stimulated their little chests to get them to breathe. They all lived and the little girl was very happy. (Thank goodness I didn't have to do mouth to mouth)

So, I'm imaging Kerry looking into the faces of his little girls and understanding it completely.

But darn it, I sure do like to make fun of Kerry......

I bet you remember the video from about 10 years ago of a fireman giving CPR to a kitten he had just rescued from a house fire. The fireman's rescue goes on for minutes, the videographer said he stumbled upon him next to the firetruck and just started shooting. After what seems an eternity with no hope, the kitten begins to move and slowly comes back to life. I think he became the firehouse mascot, and he had some catchy fire-related name.

That said, as I was listening to Kerry's story of saving private ham"p"ster, and didn't hear her say that John was actually successful in saving private hamster. His daughter only seemed to mention the attemp.

I do remember that video! It was a very cool thing to do.

Much more impressive than my oxygen tent for hamsters!

I'll bet that kitten was spoiled rotten.
