This Just In From The Senate Unintelligence Committee

John Kerry wants the pre-war intelligence on Iraq's WMDs to be a major campaign issue. Bush should definitely take him up on it. Big time. Kerry's first salvo went as follows...

>>>>>Kerry also employed Paul Revere's famed midnight run and imagery of Bunker Hill to bash President Bush over U.S. intelligence failures.

"These are the places where people dared to stand up and put their lives on the line — to take a risk — for something they believed in very deeply," Kerry said of the Boston neighborhood where he was speaking.<<<<

It's a shame one of those places wasn't the US Senate. I seem to remember Kerry was in favor of funding the Iraq War before he voted against it. I just don't envision John Quincy Adams favoring The Declaration of Independence before choosing not to sign it.

Kerry then rides further into his heap of dung...

>>>>>"One if by land, two if by sea, and the message was right. Come to think of it, they had better intelligence than we do today about what's going on," Kerry continued, drawing the loudest applause of the event. <<<<<<

Kerry shouldn't be surprised that this is the case. His voting record during the recent session doesn't exactly conjour up images of Paul Revere's Ride. He never seemed to get around to voting unless he saw the whites of some lobbyist's eyes...

John F. Kerry missed 72% of 119 recorded votes held in 2003 on issues President Bush had taken a position on according to Congressional Quarterly - Kudo's To John Kerry Sucks.com

So here is a man who is a member of The Senate Foreign Relations Committee, who doesn't even go to work 72% of the time, who complains he's been misled on foreign policy. He'd have to actually show up before President Bush could feed him a line of Bull!

How do you mislead someone who doesn't even show up when you brief him? I'm sorry the Senator was to busy joking around with Whoopi Goldberg, but this talk about intelligence failures from a guy who can't be bothered with his job 72% of the time is rediculous.

F'ing Kerry certainly has some fertile ground for the pubbies to plow. Hope they take FULL advantage.

Great post. The RNC and Bush should incessantly ridicule and make fun of the Perfumed Prince in videos that highlight his preference of hanging out with Whoopi, Al Franken and Michael Moore as opposed to showing up for work.

I would have video after video showing Kerry calling those rabid barking moonbats of Hollywood,"the heart and soul of America". That can't be played up enough.

Really, what can we expect of Kerry? If you put all those stupid, dorky photographs of Kerry together with statements like "I was for that $87 million before I was against it" and factor in his vapid, eyelash-fluttering, ambulance chasing VP candidate, it becomes obvious :

Kerry and Edwards are 'intelligence' failures.

Yep. They are just two members of the largest Senate Committee. The Senate Unintelligence Committee!

A little bit off topic.

I purchased my copy of the 9/11 Commission Report yesterday, at Krogers. The woman told me they had sold out over a thousand copies in the past 48 hours. There were FOUR left on the stand.

I find that very encouraging. The report completely destroy's the absurd theme of Moore's movie, undermines Kerry and Edwards comments....in fact it destroys the entire Democratic Party's "theme" of the last year.

And btw, its very very "readable" more akin to a novel in written style than the usual government report.

If we can go back to 1968 in Kerry's history then we can go back to 1994 and Kerry's S.1826 bill where he attempted to do the following:
SEC. 301. RESCISSION OF FUNDS FOR INTELLIGENCE AND INTELLIGENCE-RELATED ACTIVITIES.

Of the funds made available in the Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 1994 (Public Law 103-139), $1,000,000,000 is rescinded, to be derived from programs and activities of the National Foreign Intelligence Program and the Tactical Intelligence and Related Activities.
Only 9 senators joined him. Daschle was one of them.

Awesome!!! Great research. I was looking for that when I originally thought out this post. You sure won't find that one in Senator Kerry's Senate Website!

Kerry and Edwards are 'intelligence' failures.

The arrogance of this man, is beyond the pale. He knocks our intelligence, when the best thing he can say about his career in the Senate, is that he served on the intelligence committee. Wait til Bush and co. get through with his record on this.

I was surprised at the conclusions, especially after the televised "witch hunt" of a couple of months ago.

And I'm very surprised at the writting style. Its written in such a way as to encourage the largest number of Americans to read it.

He was also gunning for SDI in that bill. Let's pray we get it built in time. Here is my wish for the contingency plans in case NK launches against us: There are two separate sets of choppers that will evacuate Congress. One set picks up members for SDI and its follow on variants, the other set picks up those against. That second set flies directly to ground zero and unloads their cargo.

Oh, it gets even better. After he pulls a cool billion out of Intelligence in 1994, he tries to slam the door on future years:
SEC. 1301. FUTURE APPROPRIATIONS FOR INTELLIGENCE AND INTELLIGENCE-RELATED ACTIVITIES.

The total amount authorized to be appropriated for each of fiscal years 1995 through 1998 for the National Foreign Intelligence Program and for Tactical Intelligence and Related Activities may not exceed the amount (adjusted for monetary inflation after fiscal year 1994) that is made available for fiscal year 1994 for such program and activities (taking into account the rescission in section 301).
Catch that last part? He wanted to make sure that billion was out of there forever.

I just read the article about his comment and was sickened. Guess it's going to be Maalox all the way till the election and we're rid of this evil duo.

Not voting.....but now he's demanding all the recommendations of the 9/11 commission be implemented immediately.

Bet he can't name a single recommendation because he doesn't bother to read the data.

He didn't need to read anything - he had Sandy Berger whispering in his ear. And remember, Kerry is the guy who boasted that he didn't go to the security briefings he was offered by Bush because he was "too busy" and didn't need them.

Then he demanded and got a private briefing at his home on a Sunday. Blowing off a church photo op with the Edwards.

I would surely like to know the details of that meeting and who actually gave the briefing.

President Bush ought to offer private briefing on a regular basis and then watch kerry squirm.
